Chery Tree High Comedy Club is a dating sim (ok, maybe only a relationship sim) about a school girl trying to recruit people to her comed club. To do that, she'll need to get friends and, for that, you need to speak to some of the available characters and do some tasks for them to conquer their "affection" (friendship), so they will agree to join you. The premisse is silly, but funny. And you can move freely through the stages, like you are walking at her city. Anyway, it's a nice variation at dating sim genre.
I shouldn't like this game, but i do. It's a fun story with enjoyable characters and enough intrigue to keep you going. it's not massively interactive, but you do get to make choices that effect those around you. The humor is pretty good, and the story, while not grand in any way, is fun to play through. It's nothing deep, but it's fun and it's cheap. So I think it's worth a shot if you have any interest in this type of game.
What makes "Cherry Tree High Comedy Club" such an interesting experience? Its characters are probably the most fun I had seen in years. In Cherry Tree High Comedy Club, you play as Miley Verisse, a regular schoolgirl who is told she has to find members for her Comedy Club, or else it will be closed down. Your objective is getting to know different girls who might be interested in joining you, as well as learning different skills, so she can recruit them. This last feature is reminiscent of different dating simulators, only that you become great friends instead of entering a relationship However, the game is not that easy. Miley has to balance both her schoolwork with her social life, and how that goes is up to the player. It can be rather punishing at first if you do not know what you are doing, but since the game features multiple endings, this is in my opinion a good thing. The localization is good. Most characters' names have been changed so they can make some easier to get references (One of them being Sara Croft, for example.). Get the game if you want to have a good laugh. Most of the comedy is filled with references to other games, shows, and whatnot. The cute anime style might be a setback for some, but if you can bypass that or actually like it then you should probably get this game.
