Crash Landing is simple top-down shooter game set in a sci-fi world, following in the footsteps of games like Alien Breed or Shadowgrounds. Multiple enemies, different weapons, changing environments, little more focus on the story, all is designed to keep the game fun and interesting.
Fight your way through hordes of enemies, explore, create weapons and follow the story in this little top-down shooter game.
stunning graphics as was promised on trailers and screenshots, unfortunately it lacks from many development issue that becomes apparent after a couple hours of playing: to be short, "Crash Landing" could have been better without bringing any further extra things to the genre but some bad development decisions made it even below an average game. pros: story, crafting, weapons, enemies, and the option in the menu is great! I don't think anybody has ever finished testing this, but it really has a great potential just simply gotten away mid-production!!
The game so far is pretty damn good. I like the crafting, enemies, weapons, story, and the options menu is good. The game still has room for improvement though. I can never get a break from enemies, and always have to be conscious of them spawning behind me. I can't even stop to read one of the text pickups, and they keep coming when I am trying to craft a weapon. I also noticed my frames kept gradually dropping from 60 until I was at only a couple fps, then the game crashed. One tip I found is that the best experience is probably to play on easy difficulty, because at normal or hard there is so many enemies everywhere and they take so many bullets to kill that you will be reloading every 5 seconds and you'll die pretty quickly. Overall, the game is fun and good but could be fleshed out a little more.
Crash Landing is a top down science fiction shooter that starts in a rather cliche way, your ship crashes apparently killing everyone except for you and the AI that contacts you and tells you what to do before you are attacked by bug like creatures. The camera is closer to you than in most top down games, making you unable to see what is behind you and giving you a much smaller line of sight in front of you, and your movement is slow. Items that you can pick up and objects you can interact with glow in the environment. Animations are poor and hit detection seems off at times. The voice acting for the main character is terrible, the AI sounds more lifelike than he does. There has also been people reporting crashing and the game not working, and there have been no improvements or fixes since the game launched. This is a cliche dull game that is best avoided.
