Get your friends and play Crawl with them. Make new friends and play Crawl with them. If people come to your home and you do not play Crawl with them, you will have failed each other on a deeply personal level. This game is amazing. Play it against bots if you have to. The sense of overwhelming tension and the nimble responsiveness of the action already set this game above most other 2D dungeon crawlers, but the attention to detail and tightly-balanced leveling system mean that in Crawl, it's even fun losing.
This game is a blast with friends when you only have one device to play on. There's no denying that. It's one of the best local multiplayer games I've tried and I've tried a few. Crawl is a dungeon-crawler with a twist - the monsters are controlled by your friends (or bots). As the hero, you are able to gain levels and purchase items to give yourself a better chance of survival however, if you die as the hero, the player who deals the last hit on you becomes the new hero. This cycle repeats and the game balances it out for those who don't get to be the hero by giving the evolution points to level up their monsters at the end of each level stage to give them a better shot at killing the hero. To win the game, you must progress your hero to Level 10 and then defeat the boss in the boss level. It's great fun and I suggest anyone looking for a party game (of up to 4 players) to give this one a shot. You won't regret it. However, in saying that, if you aren't looking to play this game with others, there is a single player mode. It still is quite an interesting game but it doesn't live up to the standards it sets for local multiplayer. Also, if you are concerned about its Early Access title, the developers are still very active in updating this game so you need not worry. Plus it already plays like a finished game. There are just a few more things the developers would like to work on to make the game even better.
Crawl is, well what it sounds like...A dungeon crawler game....But not your grandmas crawler....Here you are a hero, going through a dungeon, the enemies.....are your friends, or better put, your friends are your enemies....Each of them will control a spirit who is out to kill you....if you die, they become alive in your place, The winner is the one to get out alive....There is also a single player mode where the ghoulies will be controlled by AI.....same type of play, but not really as fun, this game is highly recommended for some couch co-op goodness, something that seems rather scarce these days...The game isn't long so this is a good one to sit down and have a quick go, not to mention tons of replay value....for being an early access title it feels pretty well polished, super excited to see it fully finalised...check it out now!
With it's uniquely crafted art style and it's fast paced dungeon crawler RPG mechanics, CRAWL will have you wanting more and more! Whilst the game is enjoyed primarily with your friends (up to four players!), you can play singleplayer, though you will miss out on the chance to kill your demon friends, or even slay the designated hero. The fighting is solid, as you are provided with different skills and abilities, and there is even an in-game store that the human player can use to buy different items and weaponry. (Not micro-transactions, thankfully) Overall, if you're in love with 2D games that flaunt a dark, pale art style wrapped neatly in a bundle of mechanics and continuously updating features then you should buy this game and kill your friends already.
It is a pixel shooter, and also has local multiplayer. It is pure fun to play, the graphics ar nice, gameplay is addicting, and music is cool. Very good game, and you get to beat different mosters, bosses, slay enemies and have fun! I'd recommend this game to everyone, especially lovers of Binding of Isaac. 9/10 must play!
