A pack containing a large variety of Persian character portraits. Something to consider buying if you want more immersion and if your games are likely to have you interacting with this area of the world, even better if you desire to start your game in this area. This add nothing to the gameplay and is just for the visuals and your immersion. It is somewhat pricey at $2, it is better to buy them when they are on sale. A pack containing all of the portraits and unit packs would be nice for those interested. If you are only interested in content adding more gameplay elements, or your games don't often take you to the parts of the world that a portrait pack focuses on then you will want to save your money for something else.
At many times when I am playing Crusader Kings 2 I want to feel immersed. I want that feeling of unadulterated pleasure when my wife becomes first in line to inherit England or when the Pope calls a holly war on land that I must have. It's hard to explain if you haven't played it yourself. The character packs may seem to add hardly anything to the game but to a hardcore grand strategist these packs are incredibly integral. When you look at a Persian portrait and instead see a Muslim or a regular white European, all you can feel is immense sadness. It pulls you out of the game. These packs are small but little details that are incredibly important. Buy them if you really want to have the full experience.
