Death Goat a game finally out of early access is a great clone of Crimsonland. A quick enough pretty drawn shooter with a view from above, with nice metal music, a variety of characters to choose from, and a funny atmosphere to play with, I have no reason to be unhappy. Weapons have a good sense of strength in general, the action does not slow down for a while. The game belongs into short sessions, all in all, I recommend.
Death Goat is a heavy metal based twin stick shooter. You start the game by selecting a stage, character, and one of the music tracks to listen to while you play then fight of waves of demons by collecting weapon power ups and instant kill area of effect attacks. Upgrades might fire shots that penetrate enemies, make your gun shoot two or three shots, short range but constantly going beam, etc. The blood, bones, and other remains of your enemies will quickly start to cover the floor of the stage, which can sometimes make smaller enemies more difficult to notice. It's a fun cheap game for people that like the soundtracks, the game is also still in early access and continues to add more content. So far music has been added and some balancing was done but there may also be new enemies, characters, stages, etc.
Death Goat is a typical arcade shooter. It follows the more arcade style top-down shooter road with a score system rather than a level system with 3 lives and a lot of power ups along with a speed boost and what we can only describe as a nuclear pentagram. There?s plenty of enemy variety to keep the player coming back, and (upon death) enemies explode into a pile of gore, guts, and an otherwise unruly corpse that looked amazing. The gameplay is very simple, but fun. It doesn?t have a story, but it doesn?t claim to. The music is the best part of the game, and the part the developer is clearly pointing out the most. The game itself consists of 14 total tracks by a handful of (mostly indie) heavy metal bands. Overall, if you?re looking for a cheap top down shooter that may see improvement over time, enjoy heavy metal music, this game is probably for you.
Death Goat is a top town twin stick shooter for fans of heavy metal music. The game is still in early access with plans to add more characters, environments, enemy types, music, power-ups, etc. Starting the game gives you a choice of character and a choice of music. In addition to your default attack, you have an area effect attack that kills everything around you that you can use a limited number of times and power-ups that can change how your weapon fires. Power-ups can give you spread shots, lasers, duel shots, etc. As you play the destroyed bodies of enemies will cover the floor, which can sometimes make it more difficult to notice smaller enemies. There are twin sticks shooters with more options or better graphics out there but for the low price, and for fans of metal, this is a game you might be interested in.
