Game description

The year is 2021, and Genoq has become a leading corporation in bio-medical research. However the tower, some 90 stories high, is not all that it seems. Somewhere within the tower, highly illegal bio-weapons research has been conducted in secret. June 26th, disaster strikes and the lethal organic weapons have escaped and threaten not only the staff members stranded in the tower, but the world itself.

You arrive on the 80th floor with an urgent package addressed to Derrida, the lead scientist at Genoq working on the bio-weapons research. Set back from your goal, you must climb the tower, assisting those in need or focusing solely on your task at hand, and stopping the virus from escaping the tower and threatening all life on the planet.

Will you help the stranded survivors or hinder them? Can you deliver the package to Derrida in time? Can you prevent the impending catastrophe and escape with your life?

Remake of an early 90s game that adds a few people in addition to the better graphics

D/Generation HD is a remake of a 1991 isometric adventure game. You play as a courier that is attempting to deliver a package, you land on the top of a research building and find creatures running around and automated security systems are active, this includes tripwires, mines, or security to keep things from getting into a room. You have a weapon that can be used to active switches from a distance or to kill enemies, it will also bounce off of walls. There are rooms with survivors that you can help lead to safety if you want, and you can talk to them, most won't have anything useful to say they are just there to rescue, kill, or ignore. There is a type of enemy that will disguise themselves as survivors. The remake has wall at a realistic height which can hide both hazards and switches from your view, though the game does put yellow arrows on top of walls that shows you where switches are, when you move to a position where you would be blocked by the wall it will become transparent. Movement is also not handled very smoothly. The graphics are improved but are very impressive, with the enemies just not being very interesting to look at. If you were a fan of the original and want to play an HD version or are interested in an isometric game with some puzzles and arcade like elements then this might interest you, otherwise it is a high price to pay for a game that just isn't that interesting.
