Motorsport by its very nature is dangerous. DiRT 4 is all about embracing that danger. It’s about the thrill, exhilaration and adrenaline that is absolutely vital to off-road racing. And more than that, it’s about loving that feeling. It’s about pushing flat out next to a sheer cliff drop. Going for the gap that’s slightly too small. Seeing how much air you can get in a truck. They call it ‘being fearless’.
DiRT 4 also features a game-changing system called Your Stage; an innovative rally route creation tool that allows you to produce an almost-infinite number of unique stages at the press of a button. You choose your location and set the route parameters, then Your Stage does the hard work to create a unique rally stage that you can race, share with your friends and then challenge them to beat your time. Your Stage allows experienced rally players to create longer, more technical routes, whilst newcomers can create simpler shorter routes as they hone their skills.
With DiRT 4, Codemasters have sought to combine the levels of thrill and realism from last year’s DiRT Rally with the fearless excitement, accessibility and adrenaline-fuelled races previously seen in its critically acclaimed prequels DiRT 2 and DiRT 3.
Featuring classic rally racing that continues to build on the foundations set by the Colin McRae Rally games, the bruising contests from the official FIA World Rallycross Championship, the crazy battles of racing trucks and buggies, and the outrageous fun of open events in Joyride, players will face challenges from locations that span three continents.

DiRT 4 is one of those games that has its own audience, If you are looking for entertainment and intending to buy Dirt 4, I should alert you that this game is a very hard simulator and only real simulator fans can love it! The fans are also interested in Rally races. Dirt 4 is a Rally Championship simulation game featuring full simulation and licensing of the FIA ??World Rallycross Championship. There are also more than 50 different machines in the game with rich multiplayer and multiplayer units. If you plan to play one of the Dirt series, I recommen you play Dirt 2 or Dirt 3 and retrieve your sweet memories!
Don't listen to the negative words some people say here and there that Dirt 4 doesn't live up to the expectations or that it isn't good enough. Dirt 4 did a strong comeback. Dirt 4 feels fresh, and it brought different mechanics that feels like a great improvement. This isn't Burnout or Need For Speed, this is the classic Dirt series we all love to play, and boy, Codemasters did it all well this time again. I understand people compare it (so do I) and some prefer the older games, that's normal. But it's undoubtedly a great game with good content to play around (but I must say that isn't like Dirt Rally). There are more, realistic features, in Dirt 4 in total. A noteworthy thing I wanna mention, is the sounds the game has. I don't know, I just feel like this one is also improved a lot, they're fantastic. For the Online part, it worked fine for me, I didn't notice any issues so far, so, I'm not gonna expand on that. The Career, as usual, was top notch. If it wasn't satisfying, then we would all notice that (and trust me, it plays a serious role in Dirt series nowadays). The Modes and such, were all there, and honestly, they it made me think like.... Dirt Rally IS better about these? It's still debatable. If you analyse Dirt 4, in each part of it, and compare it... it's solid & accurate to what it delivers. But is it better than Dirt Rally? Opinions vary. Dirt 4, as it is, it's absolutely tremendous & it's worth the money you will give. But listen... if you're new to this, and you want to check out the Dirt series, you might as well want to begin from earlier games which are now classics. 5 stars from me. I couldn't really see much of negative things to say, I liked the game and didn't regret purchasing it. I must admit though, Dirt 3 is still my very favourite.
OK , i read some negative reviews on this about controls being kinda weird and stuff and i am indeed kinda agreed with them based on my own experience of the game but despite of all I have to say Dirt 4 is a really good game. Its a combination of Dirt rally and Dirt 3 which both were the best in the series but It's a little bit different. they are both really good games that i enjoy playing a lot. If you want the ultimate Rally experience, I suggest Dirt Rally but if you want to have fun but still are in for a challenge, Dirt 4 is the game for you.
I absolutely love this version of DiRT. It combines elements from DiRT 2, 3 and Rally so well and makes something a little bit different. I can easily recommend this to any rally or racing fan in general, but I can also recommend it to sim racers. The career mode has been excellent so far. There is plenty of content to go through and none of it feels dull. The inclusion of other various modes like Joy Ride and Your Stage as well as all the multiplayer content will give this game a ton of replayability. This game has gotten a lot of flack for its physics, but they're actually better than DiRT Rally's physics. I loved DiRT Rally, but I always felt like the cars were way too easy to slide and control a slide with. Now the cars have more weight to them and improved aerodynamics so you don't get those random mid-air turns like you did before. The only real issue I have with the physics at the moment is the excessive rear grip in cars. It shouldn't be that hard to get a RWD car tail happy, but it feels like something is holding the back end for you. DiRT Rally had a very similar issue to this and it was patched so I hope they do the same here. The visuals have noticeably improved as well, despite what others may say. The main thing I've noticed is improved lighting, reflections, and crowds over previous titles. The crowds are very graphically intensive so I recommend turning the setting for those down to medium-ish (turn off Advanced Blending as well). Overall I would give this an 8/10 so far. If they fix the issues I have with it then I will happily give it a 9/10.
THIS GAME IS FUN. Buy it if you like having fun. I see a lot of reviews comparing this to Dirt Rally, and saying it is not as good. I think that they are wrong/missing the point. I would recommend this to people who like racing games. If this game were compared to Dirt 3, it is one heck of an improvement in my opinion. For starters, there is no windows live. Second, the game was not built around Ken Block. I also really enjoy the music thus far.
