Distraint is hands down one of the most interesting Indie games I played in 2017 (it's originally released in 2015). What I love mostly about this game, is the blend of horror and the message it wants to spread. I will let the game guide you and see what it is about. Now, as you probably already noticed, it's a 2D horror game, and it's absolutely terrifically made in many aspects, in my opinion. I will say with a few words a couple of things about it, with first and foremost, the horror element. I'll be damned if I say the game wasn't scary. The Story/message. This, made me like the game much more because I don't think I experienced a similar game like this one before. The gameplay. I liked the exploration thing that goes throughout the game. It's a bit of mystery here and there, and also makes you think what to do, because puzzles obviously exist here in a lot of moments. Now, the game isn't too long, but it's a scary & enjoyable trip that you're gonna have with Distraint. I personally really enjoyed it. By the way, the Deluxe edition have some - you might say - aesthetic improvements/changes, and not only. I think that it's one of those games where it isn't so popular, but deserves much more attention. Maybe you're not into 2D, and maybe you are. If you're not, I believe you should give Distraint a chance and see for yourself. It will probably grow on you. 5 stars from me, without a doubt it is in my top 10 list of indie games I played in 2017.
