DOOM®: Hell Followed™ is the second of three DLC Packs bringing all-new multiplayer content to the award-winning first-person shooter. With three new maps to dominate, one new playable demon to unleash, a new weapon to master, a new equipment item, and a host of new armor sets, taunts, and Hack Modules, Hell Followed offers even more ways to expand and customize the multiplayer experience.
Hell Followed is the second of three multiplayer DLC packs for DOOM. It includes a new weapon, a new lightning shooting Cacodemon demon to play as, new equipment to help you detect enemies, new maps, and some cosmetic additions. The new content is good but it is selling at a high price for a multiplayer mode that just isn't that interesting. These DLC packs would have been better spent on either adding to the single player or in creating high quality standalone single player levels while adding new equipment or weapons and options into those maps and into the editor for people to use with their own maps. If you really enjoy the multiplayer this will likely be worth it to you but it's not going to be that interesting for most people.
Like i said in the title, this is a multiplayer only DLC with a new weapon, new demon, new maps and new skins. It costs a lot for what it gives you, for me that i don't like the doom multiplayer either, it is totally useless. Maybe i have to say that they added also new achievements, like "play with DLC skin", but.. is really worth your money?
Doom's multiplayer is a bit of a mess. It sounds good on paper, but only if you ignore the fact that it belongs to DOOM. You can't pick up enemy weapons, you only get to carry two weapons at a time, and the demon forms are overpowered. This DLC does not improve this. Hell Followed may add three new maps, but none are anything spectacular. They all might have different layouts, but they aren't worth paying extra money. The new weapon doesn't shake up the gameplay enough because it doesn't replace what works for most people (rocket launcher and shotgun combo). The armors and taunts are merely fluff and the new demon form? It's still as overpowered as the others. Most games would include what Hell Followed brings as free update content. The fact that we are expected to pay for this is just insulting.
