Europa Universalis IV: Muslim Advisor Portraits contains new, unique advisor portraits for the Muslim cultures.
A total of 21 new portraits, created by the talented artists at Paradox South, will enhance the visual experience of playing as a Muslim ruler in Europa Universalis IV.
This DLC adds nothing to the gameplay and is strictly cosmetic. With only 21 new portraits this should really have just been added to the game with an update or expansion pack. When it comes to paying $2 for the Crusader Kings 2 portraits you could be getting a wide variety of portraits that can effect you, your vassals, your enemies and allies, advisors, husbands and wives, and your entire family bloodline. You could be interacting with those new portraits in almost everything that you do. With this you are only getting 21 portraits to effect your three advisors who you probably won't be looking at all that much once they have been hired.
There are games which can suck you in for countless hours, and Europa Universalis series has always been of this kind. This also means you won't be buying other games for weeks, months or maybe years, so why don't you spend some spare money and make your Europa Universalis more complete and more beautiful. Of course, these Muslim advisor portraits are not necessary as far as gameplay goes. They don't add anything to the game except for adding some visual diversity and... immersion. What they really do is making the visual side of the game more diverse, more interesting and more accurate. And what is the game about if not about historical credibility and accuracy? So if you play muslims in Europa Universalis IV, you most likely won't need any other games for quite some time to come, so maybe you want your advisors to look more like their historical counterparts?
