Anyone passionate about F1 will be pleasantly surprised. The F1 2011 has already come out, but I'll talk as if I left the game 2 days ago. The game basically consists of 4 modes: -The campaign mode (in which we will have to face in 3, 5 or 7 seasons to all our opponents of the F1) and in which, starting with a car of low category and benefits, we will have to fulfill objectives in our equipment and power Get better cars to be F1 world champion. -Great Awards Mode. It is the typical Arcade Mode in which we will be able to drive with any car in any circuit, but that does not have mode for 2 players. -Time detection. A fight against time. -On-line. This mode works well, with 4 different modes (Sprint, Stamina, Pole and Grand Prizes) and world rankings with levels and scores. There is some lag, but nothing important, at least in this game. The gameplay is impressive. With or without steering wheel (better with it), the game makes us feel inside the car, and more if we disable the driving aids and put cameras near. Also, it has different aids and levels of difficulty to fit any type of player. And in terms of car configuration, the game has numerous settings (ailerons, engines, gears, tires ...) to be able to put our car ready for each circuit. The graphic section is one of the best there is. The modeling of the cars and the stages is masterful. Perhaps not so much the one of the shades, and in addition, there are many faces of the mechanics repeated. The best of the game, long, is the recreation of weather phenomena, especially rain. Fine, moderate, pitchers, deluge ... it's great. The same for grass, gravel, posters, etc. The sound section is really good. The sound of the engines is very well done. The comments of the team leader on the radio are good, although very repetitive, and sometimes they tell us things that a boss would never say: "Come on, come on, you have it to the egg". The worst thing is that he repeats it until saying enough, among other prayers. The songs are correct, they only appear in the main menu, in the box (to see the times of each pilot) and in the loading times, which also are not very long. There are good themes. As for the realism of the game, crashes and accidents are very well recreated. When we hit another car abruptly or have an accident against a wall, the vehicle parts will jump and break, and we will have to enter the pits if our front spoiler is very damaging, for example. However, it is also true that the game gives us race information as we race, but not enough, and sometimes we receive unnecessary instructions and information. Other bugs are the bugs in the game. For example, cars that collide constantly with the walls of the pit, the mechanic of the lollipop that takes a long time to lift it, causing you to lose a lot of time (only sometimes, not always), etc. Finally, to say that this game is hilarious for fans of F1 and cars in general, and even if it is not updated, once you get to run you forget, and more with the great online mode it offers. In conclusion, Formula 1 returns to the consoles by the big door with this game. F1 2010 tries to represent reality in F1 and is very close to that goal. Great modes, with numerous options for the car, all licenses, etc. It is true that there is no way for 2 players in the same console nor safety car, although F1 2011 does have them. Removing those additions and some forgivable failures, F1 2010 is an outstanding game thanks to its superb simulation and incredible graphics. Totally recommended.
Good looking game menu works well. Graphics are amazing. Easy to control no matter the controller, keyboard, gamepad wheel. Handling feels realistic and can be difficult to control but easy to get the hang of. Optional driving aids for every player. Proper Nvidia Surround/AMD Eyefinity support. Force feedback for wheel users. Good AI drivers for single player races. Time trial race against your best time or other player's times. Multiplayer. Runs well on low end gaming PCs. Customize your car setup before races such as gear ratio, tires, wing, ride height, etc. Audio is great. If you enjoy racing games I suggest you pick up one of Codemasters F1 games. There are now newer Codemasters F1 games that are better but this is still a great game, if you don't own the newer ones and you can get F1 2010 cheap on sale, I suggest you do.
The driving games are harder as FPS's or other games, but they are as expected as those mentioned above. We have the example of the F1 2010, a franchise that has not had many titles, but each shines. Going to the game, we will find a good graphic section everywhere, with identical cars, maps same as in reality, a very detailed menu, an excellent working climate within others. GAMEPLAY: is one of the most importants parts of the game, so he has 60% of the score. In this installment the gameplay is very good, making us spend the pilot role, such as in a real F1 driving terms, since all the little touches that make implicate where we finish. TECHNOLOGY: the climate is one of the great things that just amazed. Being in the middle of the race and that large cloud and rain, and see the drop hitting the camera is wonderful. View as rainfall affects the car, having to stop several meters before, do not take too many closed curves are fundamental things to keep places in the race, it is also essential to use appropriate tires for the type of climate, since it is almost go with slicks impossible when it rains torrencialemente. GRAPHICS: good. When we drive, it's like being in the car in real time, the graphics are detailed through which the look, but when it comes to shocks, these are very bad. When you get bored, start hitting others, who did not, but seeing as destrullen cars, corer makes you want to race properly. SOUND: Well, let's say not much to write, just engine noise, as up and down and nothing else changes. No big deal, since the type of game does not allow it, but some aspects could be improved. INNOVATION: There has been great progress since the last F1 game to play, in 2001, in some aspect. The genre does not give much, a group of cars that revolve around a track many times, actually be weighted a little boring after a few turns .... And finally the most evil of all the bugs, and I lost count of how many times 250Km/hy suddenly came to hit me with something invisible. Some are very funny, but a while later you want to mourn.
Before F1 2010 the genre was too few and far between. Now in the hands of Codemasters the game brings new life with a slick presentation, sweaty palms and a soundtrack of engine roars! This game borrows the same time rewind mechanic from the Dirt series too which means that instead of having to restart a race after screwing up on the last corner is no longer an issue as well as avoiding huge time penalties for collisions If you like F1 racing games you'll love this! The only thing that's missing is in-game commentary although for some its not a required feature
