Bought this game just to check it out and experience F1 racing, now I can't stop playing it

First of all, the menu is nicely done, you can navigate thru it very easily and understand the layout very quickly. So, I decided to start a Ultimate Championship season (I didn't really know what ultimate means). First practice, I went out on the track and within 3 seconds I started spinning around like a crazy man, or like a 3 years old kid first time playing a game. Okay, let's take it slowly on the gas, 1st corner coming out, I hit the gas, boom I'm out of track..... decided to not play on ultimate. Currently playing Champ. season on Expert level with Traction Control on full (yes, I kinda still suck) although I tried traction control on half and it's way more challenging and more realistic BUT I need more experience for that. Probably next season. THE GAME ITSELF: Game is very, very well done. Very much like a realistic F1. Playing on Ultimate is almost like a real world experience, BUT I think you can only play it with racing pedals, steering wheel and gear levers (usually on steering wheel). I tried with joystick from XBOX and, not really possible. Graphics are awesome. You go out of the track? You have dirt on your wheels which also influences the grip of your Formula for at least like 20-30 seconds. You barely touch a Formula in front of you? Damaged or broken nose. (not your nose, but the formulas) This is when your damaging mode is set to: simulation. (highest one) AI's behavior depends on the level of competition. I tried to play on Hard and I crashed so many times the car in front because they go too early on brakes, way earlier than you would expect then on Hard level. So, I'm playing this Expert level, seems that I matched my level very accurately because I can overtake, they can overtake me, they go at the right time on brakes etc. ANOTHER PROS: Weather changes a lot! You can do Q1, Q2 on SuperSofts and suddenly after 2 minutes in Q3 it starts raining. Boom! You missed to do a fast lap on SuperSofts? Too bad, you won't be able to match the time on Wets! Team radio is just awesome! You can check for pretty much everything you need! Driver behind? Rosberg, 3 seconds behind on fresh Medium's, expecting 1 more stop to go. What else ya need? Strategy! This is what I love the MOST. You drive too hard that your wheels are falling apart too early? Team radio pops up, hey man, we got a new strategy for you! wanna change to it or keep the old one? This is so awesome, so many times I did something wrong, or safety car went on the track and I changed my strategy immediately and gained many positions! Multiplayer is just fine. Sometimes you have to wait for 10 minutes for a race, sometimes 10 seconds. There are 3 levels of MP. First 2 have no damage, so sometimes car overtakes you in a corner bouncing of the wall. Third one is the most realistic, I recommend that to play. SOME CONS: Sometimes, when I get hit from behind, car breaks their nose but will not go to a boxes. Don't know why, and also, he is not losing on the time. If I did that, I would be losing on the time right away and my boss would tell me 20x to go to the boxes. Multiplayer mods could be richer. I like to play 2nd one because it's just 5 laps, but with no damage, there are many fools driving from a wall to another one and yet they are faster than me because of this. Third mod is 30 laps I think, sometimes I don't want to play for that long. OVERALL RATINGS : 9.5/10

This game is just... Amazing!!

Best F1 game ever thanks to awesome career mode. I only did one race but i can already say this game is very good - the cars are actually hard to drive they feel less arcady like in the previous games, mistakes will be punished severely. - in lap 12 of 15 i got a gearbox problem and lost 6th gear, so mechanical breakdowns are back ! - did i say it has career mode ? 10/10 would buy again

Let's race

After 15 hours of experience I can say; The game is the best F1 game ever. We have to warn that this is a "game". So; If you have been playing Project Cars for a long time and you are experiencing a similar simulation experience, go with 89 liraniz and get a vodka or something. No, I enjoy F1 watching, if you like to play in a fun game, and if you are really following the sport very closely

The best racing game

I made fun of the addition of the warm-up lap during my first-impressions video of F1 2016, but I'm now starting to get why it's there. When you're fully immersed in a season of F1, there's a building tension as you drive your car to the grid, weaving to warm the tyres, braking to keep the discs hot and checking out any changes to the weather since you last drove on the track. As you pull up to the line and wait for the rest of the grid to form behind you, your heart rate rises. For a moment, you feel like this is your one shot at success. No rewinds, no second chances. It's absolutely brilliant. It's a bit of a shame there's a fade-to-black between the end of the warm-up lap and the start of the race, but it doesn't reduce the enjoyment by much. The start sequence has changed, too. You now have manual control over your clutch, so it's easy to get a jump start or get bogged down off the line. It makes things a lot more unpredictable, especially when the AI in F1 2016 is incredibly unforgiving. Anyone who hasn't bought an F1 game in a few years should absolutely pick up F1 2016, as should long-time fans of the series. It's the best Codemasters F1 game yet and, despite a few rough edges, it's fantastic fun.
