Fallout 2 is the sequel of the succesful Fallout. Now, with a different protagonist and another intriguing story is set for us to enjoy another fallout experience. Falling with the same gameplay as the previous one, but with some improved RPG elements, Fallout 2 kicks off with a good start introducing the protagonist and the reason why you are here in the game. The lore of the game is more expanded now, new NPC are waiting for you to meet them and even some returning characters are here to meet you again too! Fallout 2 is the why the war... Hasn't changed at all. Recommended.
Fallout was a blast, Fallout 2 is a bomb! Atomic bomb that is! Bigger better and perhaps buggier but who cares, it is an amazing experience, I cannot stress enough that every RPG fan should try this game. It is old, that is true but due to the isometric graphics, the game still looks good till this day. It may be a bit difficult to start playing but once you get a gist of the mechanics you will have a great time!
This game is to put simply: a brilliant piece of video game art, made by Interplay before they handed over the fallout franchise to Bethesda. Keeping with the same controls and 2D gameplay as Fallout 1, Fallout 2 has interesting story to offer, many different paths and lots of turn based combat. The controls can be a bit weird at times since its a 2D game from a older era but once you get the hang of it, its amazing and I can play it for hours on end until real life calls and i need to go. Very different than Fallout 3 and New Vegas, yet similar. Definitely recommend it for at least trying it out.
Fallout 2 retains most of what made Fallout an instant classic, improving slightly on visuals, and expanding on an already well developed world. In this regard, Fallout 2 feels more like an expansion pack, but it packs a lot of content that I still see it as its own game. The writing in this game is still pretty solid, and while it certainly feels old, the graphics and music are both still good and fit the theme of the game pretty well. It may not have had the charm I felt in the first Fallout game, but it's still deserving of a spot in any game library out there.
Fallout 2 is legendary among RPG's. Set in Post Nuclear War America, the game offers you so much to enjoy, from the great story to the deep gameplay. Also, you are, as usual in western RPG, totally free to play your character the way you like. Sure, it's old. Sure it doesn't look so good now. But this is a masterpiece. Go on player. The Wasteland is waiting for you!
