A rreally good game in the Fallout franchise

Fallout 3 was the first Fallout game that I played and the first one that hooked me into the franchise. You're a guy (Or a girl), that just escaped from a place many would call home, escaped to the large and emptiness of the wasteland. You're a free to explore what's left of Washington DC and it's surrounding. People to meet, choices to make, bad guys to stop and a Dad to find. You're able to find weapons, gear, scrap and companions to aid you in your adventure in the wasteland. Some may complain about the emptiness and the brown and green color of the world, but I think it fits perfectly in the setting of the game and what it represents if a nuclear devastations take placer in the world. Definitely recommend this game for RPG veterans and newcomers too.

No matter what platform you own, you should play Fallout 3

It has more in common with Bethesda's Elder Scrolls series than with previous Fallout games, but that is by no means a bad thing. In fact, Fallout 3 is leaner and meaner than Bethesda's previous efforts, less expansive but more intense, while still offering immense replay value and quite a few thrills along the way. Whether you're a newcomer to the universe or a Fallout devotee, untold hours of mutated secrets are lurking in the darkest corners of Washington. I highly recommend this game for those who like open world, and deep lore.

Fallout 3: The Vault Dweller's Journey

If you have never played Fallout 3 (I know some people who haven't... sadly) you are definitely missing out on one of the most action-packed, superb storytelling, and amazing landscapes I have ever played! Character customization, companions to travel with you on your journey, 59 quests and (about) 160 locations to be discovered without having the DLC's! Need I say more? I could literally go on forever but, let?s get to the main topics here. The story begins with you, a vault dweller from Vault 101 in the year 2277. Nuclear war has made earth?s water toxic, the land barren and the people mutated! But as for you vault dweller; the vault is all you know about. Your father, James, is a doctor in the vault and simply tries to guide you to do the right thing and don't believe what the Overseer (Main 'boss' who controls the Vault) feed you his crap. Your father James decides to leave the Vault without even saying good-bye or why he is leaving. This is where your journey begins! (I won't go into any more detail about the story. NO SPOILERS) No Caption Provided Verdict: The Good This game is massive and with the FOUR DLC's included just makes it more enjoyable to discover new places and new people! You have customization on how you want to play, whether you prefer First person shooter or Third person view. The V.A.T.S (Vault-Tech Assisted Targeting) comes useful if you aren't even use to playing shooters. The story is full of choices to make. You can be a Good, Neutral or Bad throughout the whole game or change it up as you go. Multiple choice dialogue options included! The music in this game is atmospheric! Whether you are listening to Three Dog on the radio or just the ambiance sounds the fallout developers put in to make you feel the devastation and isolation of the wasteland. I would, and still do, replay the game because it's that immersive and enjoyable! No Caption Provided Verdict: The Bad I will admit there are some quirks in the game that most games do have. Graphics are amazing, beautifully created wasteland and colorful characters you meet occasionally. There are some minor glitches that I have run into like being stuck between rubble and having to re load my game to get out of it. Or when you are in a firefight the game starts to glitch furiously when I am shooting a Behemoth! It could just be the disk I had but after I switched to digital all the problems stopped.

Fallin (love) With Fallout

This is the first of the Fallout games that I played and I was surprised there was a more scifi, post nuclear version of The Elder Scrolls. Okay, the game isn't exactly like the Elder Scrolls as it stands on it's own merits with great gameplay, graphics and story. Much like The Elder Scrolls though, the Fallout series also lets you easily create or add mods that add so much more to the game that it will take a long time to finish everything that you install and when you do there is likely to be more stuff you can add. Another one of my highly recommended games.

First Fallout in 3D.

As for Fallout, I could write a master's thesis about this series. For the third part I have waited since the first rumors appeared, I did not quite know what to expect from Bethesda at that point. Only after the first reviews, I learned that the game is to be in 3D. I thought it will kill the game atmosphere, but it did not happen. I was very surprised by the new view, the gameplay, the aiming system. There are many games whose successors spoil the universe. In this case the jump to the third dimension was quite alright but still the original 2D fallout game will stay in my heart. Fallout 3 is a good game but I do recommend starting from playing New Vegas.
