It is true that by itself, the game is just alright, but the gaming community has figured out how to implement mods and the value shoots through the roof. With all of the available mods, it definitely makes a stroll through the wasteland in VR worth it! This is the longest VR game to date and it will definitely keep you occupied for a while. I'm currently playing through the game and i'm thoroughly enjoying it. I can't wait until Skyrim VR comes out for PC. Also, the new movement method that Bethesda has implemented (with the blacked out peripheral vision) is a life saver. I suffer from VR sickness and thought that i would have to teleport my way around the environment, but I can move around with ease now and actually enjoy the scenery.
Fallout 4 VR is obviously nothing new, it's just the same old Fallout 4 with VR support, and if you already have the Non-VR version of the game, and you are enjoying it with some mods installed, i really don't think it would be wise to pay 60$ for a game you already played or playing at the moment because you know it's not a fresh experience at all! the gameplay is mostly the same as original Fallout 4 and there are some new controls added for VR which was obviously needed, otherwise the whole idea was dumb. the visuals are satisfying but not as i expected from this new version and i kinda disappointed on this area of the game because i modded my Fallout 4 with heavy mods and it really looks cool and realistic now which makes me go back to my old saves and game, instead of playing the whole experience all over again just for a VR support. Fallout 4 VR could be a good, not a great experience for the fans and if you already own the original game, i suggest keep hold onto that instead and try new mods for the amazing game, or wait for a heavy sale to get this!
Fallout 4 VR has all contents from the original game and it's really a complete game, however some variations has been made on the game, such as combat and crafting system and also game menus all have been redesigned for easier use in virtual reality headsets. If you have played this game for some hours, you will find that the game controllers do not look so interesting and it hasn't a great performance on your system, for example you missed frame in everywhere. However its a good AAA game that released in VR mode and if you have enjoyed the main game, you probably like Fallout 4 VR.
