Fallout® 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed game that took RPG'ing out of the dungeons and into a dynamic, apocalyptic retro-future.
It's been 80 long years since your ancestors trod across the wastelands. As you search for the Garden of Eden Creation Kit to save your primitive village, your path is strewn with crippling radiation, megalomaniac mutants, and a relentless stream of lies, deceit and treachery. You begin to wonder if anyone really stands to gain anything from this brave new world.

You are the wretched refuse. You may be born from dirt, but we will forge you into steel. You will learn to bend; if not you, will you break. In these dark times, the Brotherhood - your Brotherhood - is all that stands between the rekindled flame of civilization and the howling, radiated wasteland.

War, war never changes! Fallout is love, fallout is life! I cannot stress enough how good fallout is, especially first two arts as i'm not very keen on Tactics but it might be just me. Anyway world of fallout introduces heavy harsh reality where nuclear bombs nearly wiped out entire civilization and survived people are struggling to survive in this crazy new reality where only death is for free. First Fallout introduced brilliant turn based system and part 2 expended on the idea, it's similar but bigger and better! I recommend it, gem of 90's and sadly no never Fallout game reached the level brilliance of first two parts. Only thing which is missing is the achievements.
If you open up the lexicon at classic rpg, chances are, there is a picture of fallout there. The first games are not just good, they are so good, that even to this day, there is nothing quite like them. There's a million ways, to play this game, and while there are certainly wrong choices, and characters, if you know what you are doing, you can finish it with any build. I could talk about the games for hours, but i think this will be the most telling, of how versatile the game is: I played through the first game 3 times, and never noticed, that there is a final boss in it. There is this poor bastard, waiting for me with his lackeys, and miniguns, and i always blow his base up without even stepping a foot on his floor. Good times...
The collection is good with very nice games which i enjoyed playing alot both now and back then when i got the games for the first time individually. The games have old graphics but the gameplay and the roleplaying aspect of the fallout games is more important than the graphics.
If you're looking for the perfect post-apocalyptic game bundle out there, you might want to stop here. You won't get any better that the original Fallout games. Fallout and Fallout 2 both stand the test of time and bring to us the true feel of the adventure RPG genre, while Fallout Tactics still brings to us the Fallout game we love but with different rules. At the price it's going for as well, it's a pretty good steal, and you won't regret getting these three classics.
Here you get two of the best cRPG's ever made. I won't go into detalis. Check my reviews on them if you like. Just a quick summary. Fallout and Fallout 2 provide you with immersive world set after a nuclear holocaust. Everything went bananas. People are trying to rebuild civilization. Those game have depth, mature plots where your decisions really determine how the games end. There is turn based combat, lots of laughs, great music by Mark Morgan. Don't worry that those games are from 1997 and 1998. Steam versions work on newest systems. I have DRM free ones bought 15 years ago and they still work on my Windows 8. So no worries. Fallout Tactics however... Well, here is a different story. Again I'm not going to go into much details. There should be my review on it. Just a summation. It is NOT a cRPG. It's a tactical game, focusing on combat, where you lead a squad of soldiers belonging to one of the iconic organizations in Fallout universe - Brotherhood of Steel. In Fallout Tactics you fight. With guns and knifes, and spears, and claws. With everything you have. Twenty missions packed with tactical decisions and pure fun. A good game, having all the combat and character developement from original Fallout. It just spices them up a bit, so they're even better. Oh, and for those of you who want real tactical approach - real time combat. All in all - this pack is golden.
