Sadly it's one of those garbage DLCs that offer next to nothing, apart from unlocking new equipment that can help you on your way the game does not provide any additional decent content. So if you care about the digital looks give Bethesda some money but do they really deserve it for releasing something like that?
I actually needed this boost in my first...well second playthrough of the game. I was really lame, didn't know what to do, and the cache really helped me survive in the wasteland. Experienced role players don't get much out of it, but if this is your first run with a fallout game, i fully recommend this. For this little price, it can mean the difference between life, and life in NCR prison.
The base game is by itself awesome but the couriers stash gives a bit more Fallout 1 feeling since it includes a vault 13 jumpsuit among other things. Very nice and for the small price of 1 or less if it's a sale you should definitely get it!
This "DLC" gives players a slice of what it is like to have pre-purchased Fallout: New Vegas. It provides 4 packs, each one containing armor, a weapon, ammo, and equipment. These help out newcomers to survive the harsh environment of the game at the beginning, especially in hardcore mode. Later on though, the majority of these items will be replaced by much better (base) items but they can be sold for a good profit. The real advantage with "Courier's Stash" is installing it AFTER being taken into the Sierra Madre of Dead Money (as upon entering the aforementioned area, all weapons and equipment will be taken away). The DLC can be installed and all of their contents will be given, greatly assisting the player. I give this "DLC" a C+ for being useful upon starting a new game but otherwise, it does not have much benefits later on.
Just like the title says. You get few items which give you better start into your adventure. Plus you get a Vault 13 hip flask, which comes in handy as your character can drink from it, and never dehydrate. Neat. And the price's adequate to what you get.
