Masterpiece

Final Fantasy 7 is just as amazing on PC as it was on Playstation. It has definitely stood the test of time. The characters, world, and story are incredible and the soundtrack is the most memorable of all the other FF games. I wasn't a fan of any of the mini games in this one and I didn't like the optional boss fights against the Weapons either, but everything else in this game is just top notch. FF made the jump from 2D to 3D perfectly and the games only got better from here. If only they would port Crisis Core to PC, this game would be truly complete.

Childhood

grew up with this game as a kid, bring it to PC is just pure nostalgia. A lot of people is gonna get this game for pure nostalgia but the game still hold up very well. A classic a JRPG with a lot of mechanics in the battle system, free roaming and interesting interaction between characters and NPC, mix in a few mini games and a strong story tied it altogether making it still worth while game to play. although graphic might take a while to get used to the old Playsstation one grpahic. Not much to complain about beside graphic and minor xbox 360 controller(setting up). Worth the $12 for a game that will last you a very, very long time

Final Fantasy VII - FF goes cyber-punk!

This is the first game in the FF series that leaves the original fantasy world, and places you in a cyber-punk world. You still have the ability to cast spells, and use many unique and interesting weapons, but the feel of this game is very different from the FF games that came before. Some people love the new look of this game, whereas others prefer the older games. This game also takes the next step forward in graphics. If you are a FF old-timer, it's possible you might not like the way they changed the series, and the new look they've given it. On the other hand you might be one of those who absolutely love the change of direction that this game took the series. I guess there's only one way to find out - buy this game, and see for yourself if you like it better than the amazing games that came before it.

An all-time favourite

Ahh, my first RPG. I loved this game so much, I poured hundreds of hours into trying to find every secret there was and trying repeatedly to beat the hidden bosses, which I never succeeded at unfortunately. Perhaps my high rating has a little to do with nostalgia, but even replaying the game now I'm struck with the same feelings of fear and just general creeped-out-ness that this game used to give me when I was a kid. The story is great, the characters are great, the music is great, the combat system is great. It's aged really, really well too, aside from some of the character models. As for the port, I really have no complaints. It plays about as I remember it playing.

A great game, considered a masterpiece during it's time.

Final Fantasy VII is an amazing JRPG game that helped set the standards of many RPG's during it's time. It contains graphics which were amazing during it's release and contains a story that will pull you along for the ride as soon as you start it. It's battle system isn't perfect, but engaging with it's time/turn based system. You will find many moments when you will feel tense, happy, sad, and more. This port isn't perfect, and isn't doesn't do much to improve the experience many had from the PS1, but you get roughly the same experience regardless. There isn't much to say about it's soundtrack besides the fact that it's amazing. Overall, this is definitely a game you should play, especially if you are a fan of RPG/JRPG's.
