A truly classic, and an excellent representative of the genre

It is one of those games known to pretty much everybody (like Half life, for instance), seeing as it is the very first in the series to be both 3D and on the Playstation console, making it the first RPG or at least first Final Fantasy title for many people. The game has one of the best soundtracks in the history of video games, a terrific villain, a completely open world, lots of secrets, many optional side-quests, a fantastic magic system and ingeniously fun mini-games. It is definitely a cult game, which has benefited especially from a strong Playstation 1 launch, particularly in the West. Unfortunately, the initial PC version was almost unplayable and bugged. But not this one, which you can easily play this on the PC as the masterpiece that it is. FFVII is a good example of how to keep the player motivated to continue playing. Something that is completely absent from most modern titles, to be honest. It isn't a very difficult game, though. On the contrary, it is one of the easiest titles in theseries. But fortunately there are a few optional super-heavy opponents: the infamous Weapons, basically the Planet's defense system. You definetly won't get bored with this game even after repeated playthroughs. I still get goosebumps today whenever I hear the beautiful soundtrack in Youtube videos, and that should give you an idea of how much love was put into making this game. Don't miss out on this great classic

My favourite game of all time!

I absolutely loved the story line of Final Fantasy VII. It was completely different to anything I'd ever experienced back in the 90's, which were mostly American games. So many emotions were evoked whilst playing this, together with the amazing soundtrack which I have purchased over the years in various orchestral formats just to re experience that side of the game. After 20 years, the graphics have aged considerably, but, even now I still enjoy playing it. If you can look past that, then you will experience truly amazing story telling, which includes one of the best bad guys (who you'll love but still despise!) ever! Go ahead, buy this and give it a go - now I'm waiting patiently to see what they will do with the remake for PS4...

One of the best FFs of all time

Final Fantasy VII is one of the best installments of the Final Fantasy series and it's about a vlonde man with an oversized sword and full of issues. Also, he is a cloud.. oops,. I mean, he's called Cloud. The graphics are not so good compared to the new FFs, but it's ok, because it was the first FF done for the new consoles after the snes era. It's amazing at its own way. Also, the story of this game is epic, full of plot twists, including a really sad one. The game is ful of features, full of memorable characteres, some of them you'll love, some of them you'll hate and some of them you'll love to hate. And also they all gave their own skill set for better battle experience. This game is a must buy for any RPG and FF fan!

If you bare early graphics you'll have really good time!

Final Fantasy VII is a game legand, first of the series in 3D and on a brand new console that was Playstation. Letting Nintendo go was square best choice in the 90s as Sony console became home of best jRPGs of the era. Final Fantasy 7 offers a rich pro-environment story with memorable characters and great materia system. Graphics are a bit dated but luckily there are some mods that can somehow fix this issue. Masterpiece.

Musf-play if you like JRPG

Played it while I was a kid on my Playstation and loved it. Good story, good characters, amazing battles and... you can breed chocobos! Yes, I loved that as a kid and still love it. I play Final Fantasy VII at least once a year and it's awesome. The only bad thing about the game is the spanish translation. It sucked big time.
