Azriel Odin, ex-assassin, arrives on the rain-drenched planet of Barracus. When things go horribly wrong, he can only seek help from the very criminals he used to work for.
Meanwhile, across the galaxy, a man called Delta-Six wakes up in a hospital with no memory. Without knowing where to turn or who to trust, he vows to escape before he loses his identity completely.
As fate brings these two closer together, we discover a world where life is cheap, identities are bought and sold, and a quest for redemption can change the fate of a whole galaxy.
Gemini Rue is an excellent game whit climate that strongly reminds me of a Blade Runner. I have not seen an adventure with such an addictive storyline and a well-written ending with lots plot twists. The pixel art does not bother at all and even adds to its charm. This is one of the few adventure games I managed to complete without a guide. Very good experience.
Highly impressive and hooking story line matched with an almost perfect gameplay system. Puzzles are not too hard nor too easy and provide you with enough difficulty to both challenge you and intrigue you. I have never played a better point and click in my life. The fact that the game is influenced a lot by Blade Runner is a huge bonus too. I highly recommend this game even if you are not a fan of point and click games.
Gemini Rue stands out as one of the best adventure games published by Wadjet Eye. It isn't a long game and the puzzles are fairly easy to solve, but the cyberpunk atmosphere and the gripping story definitely make it worthy of your attention.
And what a show this truly is. One man developed this steady and adventurous point and click extravaganza. The graphics are intentionally retro reminiscent of the 80's era, drawn in large pixels and while the game play is nothing revolutionary, the art style along with its story telling brings a sense of pace and urgency that is truly enamouring to the gamer. A detective story done perfectly well by one man. Truly an amazing feat.
