Thanks to this trilogy you will experience the « Goblins » adventures. With the different characters and their own features, you will be taken to other worlds where magic and fantasy are assembled.
With this pack, you will live various adventures: go to the conquest of the miracle medecine to save the King Angoulafre in Gobliins 1, try to find Angoulafre’s son after his mysterious kidnapping in Gobliins 2 and go in the footsteps of the « World Jewel » in Goblin’s 3.
Each adventure will provide you with a great pleasure, playing with different heroes, each one more endearing than others. You will also cross magic and enchanted worlds where you will sometimes ask yourself to know if you are in the real world or living the legends with wide-opened eyes...
This series of games is just awesome. They are adventure-puzzle games with an emphasis in puzzles involving the usage of objects, and in most cases, different characters you can switch between. Some of the object combinations are evident, some are rather improbable, some are illogical, and some are just hilarious. The games are kind of divided into "levels" rather than playing in a big map with different locations you visit several times through the game, which I find refreshing. You will sure have a lot fun with the clever puzzles, the funny situations and the charming graphics and characters. More than worth the money.
This just made me smile :) I remember back in the days when Internet didn't exist and there was no easy ways to find the walkthroughs: you really had to work out through the puzzles by yourself and no cheating! I spent hours and hours playing the Gobliins on my old Amiga 500 and I still love it! Lots of fun... and a great, great humour! They don't really make anything like this one anymore...
Gobliiins is one of the best retro adventure trilogies available in the market. The complexity of the puzzles are making your gears move even today as you try the possible combinations of the items you have. It is very rewarding when you finally got it right. Even so that in this world it is quite possible to use items in a completely different way then they were originally intended to be used. Somehow when you find the correct way / place to use them, all seems logical still (But as you play it for a while, more combinations will pop to your mind. You could use that coin there. Will that do something? YES!). The main reasons why I recommend this trilogy is that you don't need high language skills to understand it. Also you can play it along with anyone on the same computer giving each other ideas about what would go where. Especially with children this is much fun. The graphics are characteristic and give the trilogy a very distinct look, Sound is generated with speakers so don't expect much form it, but it is fitting the game very well.. Unlike the recent retro style games the Gobliins trilogy aims to keep you for long hours, and even advanced gamers find themselves looking for a guide when solving some less trivial puzzles. Also fun fact: the more "i" you have in the name of the game, the more Goblins you control in the game. I'll give it a score around 90, because puzzles can be sometimes quite hard, other then that I recommend the trilogy.
Goblins are usually unjustly overlooked in games, written off as the weakest of orcs, being not very smart and smelling bad. It is great to see that some people go against the grain and make wonderful games such as this trilogy. The old school point-and-click adventure is as charming as ever, though some of the puzzles are somewhat beyond any reason or logic so there might be occasions when the player has to resort to the most ancient of adventure-gaming methods (rubbing each item to each usable spot). The game has a great sense of humour and the characters are adorable. Personally I prefer the first game where you control 3 goblins - each with their unique speciality. Kind of like a point and click Lost Vikings - but all of the games are fine. It belongs to the (virtual) shelf of every gamer who likes adventures or wants to motivate the industry to give goblins some better roles than the weakest villains you need to kill a dozen of.
First time I'm playing the first of the Gobliiins series I'm still in elementary school. And it's so much fun back there. Years later I bought this game from GMG and I found this game is still really awesome even in its old school graphic. So much fun. Awesome.
