Good for fans of other grand strategy games. Do not buy until trade routes have been fixed. No matter how much I try I cannot get traders to ONLY SELL. I ended up 70k in debt during the campaign because of it.
Grand Ages Medieval is a real time strategy , where you you need to spread your influence in Europe by using economy and exploration ,your economy will rely on few products like grains ,fish , clothes and jewelry, you'll need to secure your mines and your caravan routes in order to maintain a stable economy , you will also have to recruit merchants , you can have one trader per zone only so you need to know where to send them so you don't waste a lot of money and time for small profit ,building a strong trading relation with near by cities will help a great deal in expanding your economy , making your goods cheaper will run out nearby rivals out of business it's highly satisfying ,you need to upgrade your roads and towns to help your trade, combat in the game is not that deep , you have several units and it's about numbers than strategy , the biggest army will win 99% of the time , the campaign is alike a big tutorial to get you used to the mechanics, it's a relaxing game that does not make you set up to micro manage a battle or worry too much .
Grand Ages: Medieval. I was looking for something different to play and came across this n so far i can say its well worth it! Its mainly focused on the Trading/Economy side meaning that u dont have to just have a large army to defeat foes. In my own opinion this seems to be a mix of Civilization 5, Total War: Rome II & Banished n if you have all of them like me than i recommend giving this game ago! The military combat system seems to be basic but gets the job done although hopefully gets updated in the future. On the other hand the graphics are amazing either looking up close to your city or looking from above at the landscape.. you wont be disappointed with it. my rate 6/10
