GUN MONKEYS is a Procedurally–Generated, Physics-based, Online Deathmatch platform game from multi award-winning indie dev Size Five Games.

In GUN MONKEYS, you'll take charge of a modern-day power company. In the distant future, a catastrophic experiment into Perpetual Energy obliterates all human life, leaving the world choc-full of free-for-the-taking energy, but unpleasantly lacking in people to take advantage of it. Your job as CEO is to send a legion of pleasingly-expendable monkeys forwards in time to collect Power Cubes and return them to present-day, all from the comfort of your PC.

Key Features:

  • Monkeys! In the future! Future Monkeys!

  • "Always Online" 1-on-1 Deathmatch action (offline local play mode also available)

  • Procedurally Generated levels means you'll never play the same map twice!

  • Tailor your squad to your unique playing style with a host of interesting and helpful Perks!

  • Short, sharp, hi-octane jabs of multiplayer fun!

  • Challenge your friends, or make new enemies!

  • Loads of Achievements and Trading Cards to collect!

Multiplayer-Only Game Without Multiplayer

Gun Monkeys is actually a fun game, assuming you have a friend and will be playing exclusively local split-screen versus games, because multiplayer was dead on arrival and there is no single player apart from the tutorial. With a couple more game modes, a single player campaign, and ability to host your own multiplayer games, this could have been a good game, instead it's just another abandoned project that never had a chance.

Great, but dead and forgotten

Nice game with the coolest artwork I've ever seen. Nice audio as well, really liked the small story it contains. Beyond that, it's not much. 1 vs 1 games where you have random massive destruction weapons, weapon and bonus perks to be bought and a very simple and intuitive gameplay. It's a cool game to play with a friend offline too. Unfortunately, it's a dead game which stops you from playing multiplayer, which is all you have if you don't have a friend at your side to play with. Plus, even achievement require multiplayer, so it's a game forever to be incomplete in your achievements hunting... Very cool game to play, fun and interesting... but not worth it due to being dead and abandoned by everyone (No players = No multiplayer). Shame...

Not a bad game, but it is already dead.

The game is good, actually, it is way better than most of the games developers have given away for promotional purpose. The problem is this is an online game, but there are no players anymore. I remember when I could play it, back in the days where there were some people in the servers. Gun Monkeys is a pretty simple game, deathmatch action game where you have to destroy your enemy and collect some kind of orbs you have to take to your main base. The energy runs out and works like time, and getting those orbs will give you added time. Being killed by your foe will reduce your time metter a lot. The one who runs out of time sooner loses the match. Gun Monkeys is a small fun game, but there is a chance that you can't even try it since there are no more people playing it. I can't recommend it knowing that.

Monkeys Everywhere

The Game is pretty basic plataform game, you just have to collect cubes for getting points and shooting the other monkeys with your gun to steal them, who in the end finishes with 0 points losses, the controls are ok, the graphics are not that beautiful ,but it is playable. The Point i really don't like in this game is because he is not popular, almost nobody plays it ,so it is just sitting there in my library making space.

well people liked this game, i didn't connect to it...

its a small indie platform (2D) game ,it has a nice concept, and the gameplay is flowing, graphics are ok, not so good tutorial. played a couples of rounds but...well its not my taste. may be if you play it with friend it will be better experience. and if you dont like fast bright flashes - its not for you ether :-) score ~60
