People die when they are killed

Suda 51 returns with another highly stylized action game. The visual direction is mostly what Suda 51 is known for, so if you liked the extreme contrast on colors like black, red, white like Killer 7, you'll probably appreciate what he's done here with Killer is Dead. Game is very well optimized for PC, and includes all of the additional content from the console release. Each map in the game is a hybrid between open and linear, and the combat system is very rewarding. You have your typical hack-and-slash mechanics, and a cannon you can use in an over the shoulder camera like RE 4-6. TLDR: If you like highly stylized action games with fun gameplay w/ RPG and hack-and-slash mechanics, this is your game. Highly recommended.

Weird Anime - The Game

Killer is dead is a very unique game. I never heard of the supposedly famous director or whatever of this game, but according to the internet, he's like a Japanese Stanley Kubrick, that makes video games. Well, they didn't lie... The game looks...nothing like I ever seen. I can't describe it. Just Watch the video, really, it's worth it. As of how it's played, it is mostly a combo based sword fighting extravaganza, with missions all over the world, and an upgrade system, and a built in encyclopedia, so if you want to get lost in the game world, you pretty much can. The Story is also very weird at the beginning, but after a while all will make sense. The controls are really responsive, and the fights can really make you feel like a master samurai.

Left Handed Killer!!

About the graphic, the exaggeration in lighting, the intensity and brightness of sharp colors along with the special effects and visual effects have helped us to see a new style of graphic structure in computer games. Technological dimensions such as shading, lighting, and texture quality do not have much technical value, but are greatly overlapping over weaknesses. Paying attention to the tiniest jobs of the visual effects did not prevent the builders from neglecting the modelling and designing of the main characters and the subcategory, so they did their job very well. The cinematic interiors also have a semi-plastic shape and are clearly subject to the general rules of the cartoon style of the game. What's evident in this game is one of the most beautiful outputs of the Unreal Engine 3 engine in terms of art. In sounds part, the sound of the swords and bullets, shouting of the enemies, and even the crying of the giant bosses, can be heard throughout the game. Since the Hack & Slash gameplay is based on breathtaking battles, music and its impact play an undeniable role thankfully, KiD is in this category, because the soundtrack creates a beautiful symphony with gameplay and during the battles, the rhythm of its sharp and exciting energy transfers it to an entertaining struggle for the player.

Style, Action, Plot... and Suda51? Have some Fun.

Nice Game, Good Graphics, well played story-line, and a nice soundtrack... essential and a standard to any game made by Suda51: The art direction, voice acting (in both English and Japanese) and character design are all first rate. It is in a way a button mashing game with the hack-and-slash of say... Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. With deep game-play, solid controls, beautiful Art style which fit the game perfectly, side quests and challenges are nice and well...challenging. It's unique and Fresh, and a Nice fast paced Action game and it's a decent one, much more like Bayonetta and Devil May Cry or for those that have had a chance: Lollipop Chainsaw on the Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3 consoles or No More Heroes, a previous Suda51 on the Nintendo Wii and Sony Playstation 3 consoles. Also, throw in some in inspiration from 007 novels on the characters, while you're that it. If there are any problems that I was able to see with the game is that is was a little short, it left you wanting more of the game story, something that is another Suda51 trait, but as I mentioned before there are side quests and challenges to ease that feeling.

Very Japanese and niche title.

Killer is Dead is a typical Suda51 game. Abstract, over the top and very Japanese but also fun as hell. It's obvious it's a niche type of game and only small percent of players will find it attractive but those who do will remember this adventure for a long time. It is hard to recommend this title though, as it is very specific. If you heard of Suda51 there might be a chance you will like it but if this studio if completely unknown to you perhaps keep away from this one. You may miss out but on the other hand, the game may appear to bizarre to you.
