Game description

Straight from the talented community modders of the IJC crew comes the first DLC weapon pack for Killing Floor. Featuring a diverse set of new weapons the Community Weapon Pack brings new game play options for your favorite perks. Best of all the community modders in the IJC crew are going to be making real money from the sale of this pack – a first for the Killing Floor community.

Key Features:

  • The Scythe: This is pretty much what you would expect. Long handle. Long blade. Good for reaping corn, wheat - or shambling monsters. A great new toy for the Berserkers amongst you - or for those with a Grim Reaper fetish.

  • Tommy Gun: The Thompson sub-machine gun is an absolute classic of design and functionality, beloved by soldiers and gangsters for decades! A great favorite with the British Commandos in WWII that should become a firm favorite with Commandos in game too.

  • Flare revolver: A classic wild west revolver modified to shoot fireballs! Grab two of them for twice the fun. What Firebug wouldn't want this addition to his arsenal?

  • Buzzsaw Bow: A crossbow modified to shoot spinning saw blades sounds insane, and it is. That's why we gave this weapon to the Berserker. Just watch that little blade of death bounce around!

These Weapons Are Actually Good!

NucularS

This Community Weapon Pack is one of the few DLCs for Killing Floor that add something new, other than purely cosmetic nonsense. And the new weapons are actually good, too! Although I can't comment too much on the Scythe, other than it looks badass, and am not really a fan of the flare gun (though others swear by it), the Tommy Gun is a solid early weapon that is easy to use and very effective at keeping baddies away from the player. And then there is the Buzzsaw Bow (even though it is clearly a crossbow)... Let's just say that the DLC is worth it for the Crossbow alone!

The most valuable DLC for Killing Floor

LightWolfDM

Killing Floor: Community Weapon Pack is the best weapon pack for the game, while other packs only focus on skins or basic weapons, this pack get the best of it and delivers a full new experience for the players. All the new weapons: The Scythe, Tommy Gun, Flare revolver and the Buzzsaw Bow are great addition and have a very helpful use to different situations. Recommended.

One of the very few must have DLC, especially for firebugs

TheForgery

Unlike some of the other DLCs, which are pointless like camo and gold skins, this DLC makes a difference when playing in Killing Floor. The flare revolvers are excellent additions due to the fact that the original arsenal of the firebug perk suffer from the lack of diverse weapons. The 2nd best weapon is the buzzsaw bow. Now, berserkers do not have to engage very close combat and risk getting overwhelmed by the specimens. They can launch spinning saw blades and inflict devastating damage on condensed groups of zeds. Discarded blades can even be picked up, thus saving much needed ammunition. The Tommy gun is also a nice addition as it serves to be a SMG that can be purchased much earlier on and it is not that heavy. The major downside is the low damage. To me, the Scythe is satisfactory. The other melee weapons in the base game, like the (fire) axe and the katana were good enough. I give this DLC a B because overall, it only has two good weapons while the other two are just "so-so".

flares are a must have

gwynplaine

The flares are so overpowered but fun. For firebugs, they finally allow that perk to decently engage scrakes from normal all the way to hell on earth difficulty. They're extremely useful for berserkers off perking too to one shot small zeds and apply burn damage to the rest. All the rest are novelty weapons, in my opinion. The scythe was immediately nerfed upon reelase and the buzzsaw bow is a bit expensive and ammo limited to be useful.

Everything in here is useful

Alcatraz_Inmate

I personally choose to play a zerker more often than not, and when I'm not playing a zerker I like burning things as a firebug. That being said, this pack is very useful for someone of my play style. The buzz saw crossbow is always in my go to loadout and it can destroy those zeds in a pinch. The flare revolvers are an awesome addition and are extremely useful in the lower waves not only as a firebug, but every other class as well. The weapons here are, in my opinion, better than the weapons in the base game and even if you prefer the base game weapons, these are fun little things to mess around with even if you don't find them particularly fitting to the way you play the game.
