First, I am a Batman fan. So as a Batman fan, I can say it did pretty good here. You can go around Batcave and access the trophy room which is cool. While unlocked character will run around in Batcave. Not only that, the specialties of each character is really good too and interesting to test each of their abilities. For the first Lego game of Batman, I could say it pretty much did very well. I played all trilogy of Lego Batman and I could say, this is encouraged to buy. If you are a fan of Batman, this is a must have.
This was a great new game after the original Lego Star Wars I and II which I have for playstation 2 and really enjoyed playing it with my friends! I highly recommend this game to anyone that likes Batman or is a DC Comics fan. It completely follows the movies and is just such a fun game to play and it also has really funny lego cut-scenes. If you haven't gotten this game, get it since it's much cheaper now than it was when it originally came out. Thanks for reading and I hope this helped. Rating: 87/100.
I really enjoyed this game a lot and I was happy to find out there are more games to this series that are being made. The game is very well made and put together allowing the player a very enjoyable game-play that stays true to the movies and is great for all you Batman lovers. I've always loved the LEGO game series and have played nearly all of them and this game was by far one of the better ones, although I wish there had been other additions to the game to make it more fun. If you've watched the movies and liked them, I'm sure that you will LOVE this game! It's a great game as most LEGO games are and is tons of fun to play with a friend or even your husband/wife or boyfriend/girlfriend because it is hours of fun especially if you complete the whole game. Tons of great characters to play as, a great story with funny LEGO cut scenes, fun secrets and other items from the movies that make the game just that much better. The real question here is: Why wouldn't you buy this game? I highly recommend that you do.
LEGO Batman: The Videogame is a fun, not so serious take on the caped crusader and his villains. The game is very cool, and has every Batman related character you can think of + even more. The story is simple and shallow, but the amount of stuff to do, coupled with the unlockables and tongue-in-cheek references are worth the money and time. The game utilizes a host of characters, and much like the shelf of Batman action figures at your local store, has a ton of costumes for your characters to use. Each of the costumes has an ability needed to complete each level of the story. Gadgets and vehicles round out the impressive list of features for this game. All in all, Lego Batman is easy fun, and even better with friends. You can't go wrong with another great addition to the LEGO series.
For a Batman game, it was disapointing. It is still pretty fun with all the great cars to drive and characters to play as, but the game's frustration aspect often outweighs the fun aspect. The different suits for Batman and his chum are fun and great to use with puzzles, and being able to play as various villains was exciting. However, when playing two player mode, things become extremely frustrating. There is no split screen, so the two players end up dragging each other to their deaths or away from their task. It does promote teamwork, but it's irritating. It's even worse when it's one of the driving or flying missions. They're very dark, often making it difficult to find out what to do. The boss battles are often very repetitive, boring, and annoying, but I don't expect a brilliant show down from a LEGO game. Despite all the annoying aspects, it is still a great game to play with a friend, easily eating up hours of time.
