Two factions fight over resources, whilst battling an ever growing menace of infected humans. How will you choose to survive?

Lifeless is a Massively Multiplayer Survival game, where you cooperate between players to survive a hostile environment. Experience an open world filled with environmental storytelling, and brutal, bloody combat.
  • Welcome to Stillwater Bay. Maine’s most popular tourist spot has become a wasteland. Explore lush natural landscapes and deserted towns set after the world has collapsed.
  • Learn To Survive. Find supplies, collect equipment, keep yourself fed and healthy to stay alive.
  • Choose A Side. Two factions fight for survival – The civilian Nova Guard, or the militant Spartan Phalanx.
  • Fight For Your Life. Brutal, melee-focused combat means you have to get up close and personal if you want to save ammo.
  • An Infected Threat. It’s not just the other faction you need to watch out for. Infected humans will stop at nothing to take you down.

Likely too early to be gifting copies to friends but a better deal if you and a friend are interested

Lifeless is certainly not original, being yet another zombie survival game with a large area to explore with some PVP elements. You will search the area looking for supplies to help you survive, this can include healing items, weapons, clothing, ammo, and food to recover health. Items might have different stats such as armor or durability to protect you from damage or to show how much damage the item can take. You have a stamina bar that prevents you from running all the time, items might help you regain stamina faster. Graphics are poor in the way a lot of games in this style are. The game includes melee combat that allows you to block and attack but it doesn't look very good or feel satisfying. You can find weapons like pistols, revolvers, machine guns, hammers, axes, etc but the game's weapons just don't feel satisfying to use or hear and blood effects from enemies look poor, the guns tend to sway in unrealistic ways while moving compared to how your reticle is aiming. You can play the game with friends but the servers aren't that stable. If you are interested in the game and want to support the dev that might be a reason to get it but for most people it is just too early in development and you just aren't going to be getting enough content, or satisfying enough content, for the price. They have been bringing out patches every few days to add things, fix things, and to improve the stability of the game so if you don't buy it now but are interested keep an eye on it to see how it continues to improve. In addition to recent improvements some new weapons have been added in their most recent patch. The four pack will save you a little bit of money if you wanted to buy copies for a friends, and the game seems to be made with the idea of working with people to fight against AI and other players but for now the game is just not in a condition where you should be gifting other copies to friends, unless you already know someone who is interested in the title. If you and a friend want to try out the game or support the developer this early on this is a cheaper way for both of you to try out the game.
