“Lifeless brings the Zombie Apocalypse to the comfort of your home” - Massively Overpowered
“Shaping up to be quite the adventure” - PC Games N
Blog - Release Date Announced
Ten years after a virus ravaged the world, Maine has become a harsh wasteland. Two factions, the Nova Guard and the Spartan Phalanx fight for what few supplies remain in Stillwater Bay. Featuring an interesting weapons randomisation feature, and an exciting twist on clan-based multiplayer, Lifeless looks to breathe new life into the multiplayer survival world, and we’re ready to get stuck in.
This game needs a lot of work, ALOT. First, I'm always having a problem with connecting to servers and also I can't find good server that has decent ping/latency. Second, the stealth mechanics, like even if you are far away from the zombie, you will still get detected. And last is, lacking of items. The graphics are quite good but they still need to fix those bugs and lacking. So, I recommend you to wait until it finally polished well.
Lifeless is certainly not original, being yet another zombie survival game with a large area to explore with some PVP elements. You will search the area looking for supplies to help you survive, this can include healing items, weapons, clothing, ammo, and food to recover health. Items might have different stats such as armor or durability to protect you from damage or to show how much damage the item can take. You have a stamina bar that prevents you from running all the time, items might help you regain stamina faster. Graphics are poor in the way a lot of games in this style are. The game includes melee combat that allows you to block and attack but it doesn't look very good or feel satisfying. You can find weapons like pistols, revolvers, machine guns, hammers, axes, etc but the game's weapons just don't feel satisfying to use or hear and blood effects from enemies look poor, the guns tend to sway in unrealistic ways while moving compared to how your reticle is aiming. You can play the game with friends but the servers aren't that stable. If you are interested in the game and want to support the dev that might be a reason to get it but for most people it is just too early in development and you just aren't going to be getting enough content, or satisfying enough content, for the price. They have been bringing out patches every few days to add things, fix things, and to improve the stability of the game so if you don't buy it now but are interested keep an eye on it to see how it continues to improve.
Got this game for me and a friend and right now as of 6/23/2016 were having a blast playing it. I think the faction idea for the game is brilliant would love to see more weapons added to future patchs as like the patch that came out today, great idea. Simply love this game very fun. kudos rigid soft and green man gaming for this game. 10/10
