Another strong DLC that feels a bit different with a good story. It unfortunately suffers the same issue as "Faster, Baby" in the fact it's not even 2 hours long. The DLC comes with a very interesting storyline, I'd say on a similar level to the main story (and the main story is fantastic). You travel off-shore, the location is visually pleasing, it's very different to what you're used to with the city/countryside and it's a decently large area. Be aware that this DLC is pretty linear once you travel off shore. It's a $15 DLC and it lasts around 90 minutes for the main story. It is SERIOUSLY short and will be easily completed in one sitting, but Donovan is a golden character, with a lot of humour, great lines and intriguing cut scenes. There's a lot of turret sequences, so if you're not a fan of those, you'll probably be disappointed. And trust me, there is a LOT of them. I will also continue with saying if you do not like the main game, you will not like this DLC, as I said in my review of "Faster, Baby." You will see a lot of reviewers on here who clearly don't like the game anyway, leaving bad reviews for a DLC they're not gonna like. Overall, you're looking at a stellar DLC with my personal favourite character in Mafia 3. I'd recommend this if you own the season pass, I do not suggest the $15 price tag for about 90-120 minutes of content. It is good to see a storyline based around Donovan, though
This DLC makes season pass for Mafia 3 really worth it. It is really nice change of scenery, because the jungle looks way better than meh city in the vanilla game. The story is also incredibly good, almost too good to be in this game. The worst part about this DLC are the facts that it is still Mafia 3, which is incredibly average game and that this DLC is short, around 2 hours. Gameplay-wise it changes pretty much nothing and it is only one hit wonder, since you probably won't replay it. Overall, the DLC itself is really good and worth it, just not for this price, because it is incredibly short.
We may have a trend here, poor reception of the core game and good DLC that we got recently, perhaps the developers tries to atone for the bad Mafia 3 game. Anyway, the add-ons also follows the pattern, Stones Unturned, we get new weapons, clothes, vehicles, locations to explore and abilities to use. Apart from that there are also new hitman missions. The only downside is the story presented here as it's rather short. But overall the amount of content is quite impressive.
