Disappointment

Master of Orion 3 was, is and will be a huge disappointment. It had a though act to follow, because 2 was THE 4X space strategy game. On the other hand, it was simple idea for the sequel, because there was still room for improvement. This game is demake and basically this game to MoO 2 was just like Civilization 5 to Civilization 4 - simplified demake. While Civ 5 got fixed with 2 expansions, there was no hope for this here and everything that could go wrong, went wrong. Graphics are horrible, the AI is non-existent and that's incredible, because AI in MoO2 is solid to this day, while here it is downright stupid. UI is worse in the series, completely unreadable and needlesly convoluded to even do simplest of actions. It is also incredibly buggy and didn't get fixed by the devs, only mod community, which tried its best, but still failed, because buggy nature of this game is overwhelming. Overall, this game is an insult to anyone who loves Master of Orion Series. There were some good ideas, but those got buried by laziness. You're better off getting MoO 1+2.
