With Fire & Sword is a good addition to the Mount & Blade Series. It brings firearms to the game along with a couple of other good features, but lacks the great medieval feel of previous games such as Warband. Fire & Sword has a large focus on the gunplay of the game which is a shame because it is not its strong suit. The firearms work well in the game and are accurate to the time period though the more interesting part of the game is the usage of the swords & Bows. Fire & Sword improves upon all the other aspects of the games however adding a huge variety of new and/or improved features. However if you are into old timey gunplay then this game may just be for you! The graphics of the game aren't great however they are reasonable considering the scope of the battles as you can have hundreds of units on the screen at once which is an amazing feeling when playing in first person. Charging an enemy gunman head on with a sword, killing him just before he kills you is an amazing feeling and can't really be achieved in anyother game. Marching across the world-map with your own forces, or joining your kings army as a normal solider brings a great amount of satisfaction. Mods help with the lifespan of this game, bringing even more features and customisation to it as some mods are specific to Fire & Sword only, and most are of a high quality. I personally recommend the '1776 American Revolution' mod or if you enjoy the base game then simply get the enhancement mod which aims to improve upon features which you may already enjoy. Overall this game is recommended if you wish to role play in that time period as a solider, or if you simply wish to see what it was like living during that time.
Just like their previous games “With fire and sword” has a mix of first/ third person action in the battlefield while still controlling huge armies in that time. But this time the game has a little bit more charm to it. FIREARMS! Ye, guns… This time the battle between nations is in real world Eastern Europe. As an eastern European (Lithuania) myself I love the fact that the game is revolved around Polish and Lithuanian commonwealth and their struggle in that world. Even though, the graphics haven’t improved too much since the last game. But the graphics matter the least to me, the gameplay is amazing.
