I paid 18 cents for an 8 year old game where I can shoot griffins with a gun. Can't complain.
Like a lot of RNG, the odds of anything good are stacked against you getting anything decent. While most of the games you get will usually sell for more than you pay for the mystery bundle it's likely to be games you would not buy anyway or for a platform you are unlikely to use. At the end of the day it's your choice, but I don't really think its worth it, even when it is really cheap. If it was limited to just steam and gog keys, I'd rate it slightly higher.
The Mystery bundle is an intriguing concept that I found to be quite refreshing. I have yet to see any such bundles on any other major retailer. It gives you a chance to win something. Be it good, bad or just plain ugly you have a chance to get it. Unfortunately I've landed more on the latter, but am still quite positive, because it is giving me a chance to try something new and refreshing, regardless of my own personal preferences. This package made me respect indie games more having won Super Meat Boy for example, so that was a really great deal. So if you find you wanna try something fresh and interesting and don't really mind a little frustration, then this is the package for you.
The Mystery Bundle is like a lottery ticket where you always win something. Sometimes you win big with a copy of Deus Ex or Borderlands, and sometimes you win so low the game you get wasn't worth the amount of money you paid for it, even if you got it on sale for $0.06. I personally have had mixed luck with the Mystery Bundle, winning one game I wanted, one I already owned, and one that I not only had never heard of before, but found out has received absolutely atrocious reviews (no, it wasn't Ride to Hell Retribution). However, given the amount of money I paid, I can't really complain. If you find this on sale, found $5 lying on the street, or have some leftover credit you want to get rid of (or all three), give this a shot.
