Fun anime fighting game

RF_

One Piece Burning Blood is my first One Piece game, and I find it very enjoyable. The story mode is quite extensive, with various battles to go through. In addition to the core fights, there are also many side battles. The plot is clearly explained in comic-like panels and cutscenes. Progressing the story unlocks additional characters as well as new game modes, notably local and online matches. The graphics are very anime-like, colourful and detailed, and the voice acting is very faithful. The gameplay is in line with other anime games. Special skills are very easy to unleash, so battles revolve more around timing and resource management. A must-have for any One Piece fan, a nice addition for any fan of anime fighting titles.

The Best One Piece Game

hotmando

Yes, this is a straight up console port with resolution and frame rate caps. Its capped at 30 fps but it still looks pretty good. The port has generally been pretty solid for me. There does seem to be a save bug in the game where your progress just randomly gets deleted however. Gameplay wise, Burning Blood has the bread and butter that any fighting game should have. Free battle, online battles, wanted mode, and more are all in the game. The story mode is terrible by far of all the modes. There are four campaigns for four different characters but it only takes an hour or two to finish the entire story mode. It seems like no effort was put into singleplayer. Gameplay wise, its the best fighting game by far after dozens of one piece games. However, it feels simplified at the same time because using combos and spamming attacks will ultimately win most matches. Its not very complex but it has a lot of mechanics that dont really shine because of how simple the game here. The selection of characters is pretty good though as everyone feels fun and unique to play. As a one piece game, it is the best game by far out of all the selections. As a fighting game, it pales in comparison to Mortal Kombat.
