THE WORLD NEEDS HEROES

FIGHT FOR THE FUTURE

Soldiers. Scientists. Adventurers. Oddities.

In a time of global crisis, an international task force of heroes banded together to restore peace to a war-torn world: Overwatch.

CHOOSE A HERO

Overwatch features a wide array of unique heroes, ranging from a time-jumping adventurer, to an armored, rocket-hammer-wielding warrior, to a transcendent robot monk. Every hero plays differently, and mastering their abilities is the key to unlocking their potential. No two heroes are the same.

PLAY YOUR ROLE

Whether you're engaging in combat on the front line, providing defensive cover with your energy shield, or supporting your allies by amplifying their damage, every hero's abilities are designed to be effective as part of a team. Learning to utilize your abilities in concert with your teammates' is the key to victory.

TEAM-BASED OBJECTIVES

Teams of heroes do battle across the planet. From protecting the secrets of the mysterious Temple of Anubis, to safely escorting an EMP device through King's Row, the world is your battlefield.

Blizzard is back with its first new IP in over ten years. Overwatch is an arena-based hero shooter, that throws you into the spandex-skinned boots of a huge cast of heroes and villains. From the cheeky speed of Tracer and the raw power of Reinhardt, to the agility of brothers Genji and Hanzo, every style of play is accounted for. After all, the world needs heroes.

A must buy!

I have played it since the beta! I have never got bored of it because there are lots of heroes of try out and it takes time to master them.If I can describe the game in just one word I may say : perfection. Overall, the graphics are smooth, you can never get bored because of the variety of heroes you can choose from and the gameplay is just great!

Pretty fun

I tried this at a free weekend, and it surprised me. I expected to be destroyed be the more experienced players, just like in every online game, and it kinda happened, but at the same time, i was able to hold my own. I guess blizzard finally could program a good matchmaking system. Anyway, this is a fun objective based shooter, with characters that look really different, and play really different(i only tried three), so if you want to play with a shooter, that isn't Counter Strike, or call of duty, this is a great choice. The community seems a lot nicer then the others as well for some reason, and the servers ran perfectly. I never had any latency issues because of them, nor did they drop me.

Over-Watch out for the amount of time this game will take away from you

I am writing this as someone who does not enjoy most Blizzard games or Hero Shooters. Overwatch is a game that does a lot of things fine, but does one thing very well, and that is making the player feel special. Everything from the character design to the music bolsters the player up and prepares them to be the hero of their team. The matchmaking is not balanced at all, but that is kind of okay. Each hero will get at least one ultimate per game, and most enemies will have direct counters. The graphics are fun and cartoonish, but fit the play style well. My biggest complaints are queue time, which is bipolar and often takes much longer than it should, and difficulty with other players not fitting similar skill levels, but neither of these are big enough to truly take the fun away.

Fantastic multiplayer with a lot of character

It's easy to say Overwatch is just a TF2 clone, and it definitely borrows from it, but that's not what defines it by a long shot. Overwatch is one of the most fun and polished games I've played in years with a roster of characters who're incredibly fun, quotable and recognizable. I love all the characters in this game even if I don't like playing all of them, and I just love how fans have taken these characters and made these weird connections to them, like Soldier 76 is the father of the group and D.Va is a doritos eating gremlin. These kinds of things are proof of how incredibly well made roster of characters Blizzard has made here. Blizzards approach to multiplayer games is accessibility, that is clear in every one of their games. They want people of all skill levels to enjoy them from new players, even little kids, to pro levels, and Overwatch is no exception. It is very easy to jump in and start shooting people, there's training and bot matches to get yourself started if you're very new, arcade modes that've gotten a huge revamp in latest patch provide a ton of fun ways to play the game, quick match is for people who want a bit more challenge but not very serious competition and perfect for learning characters in live environment, and competitive for those who want to truly be good at the game. From gameplay standpoint its very familiar to TF2, currently there are 2 game modes, king of the hill and payload. These might seem little, but map variety and especially hero variety is what make every single match a blast to play. 23 heroes currently provide a lot of heroes to find your own. They all have 2 or 3 different abilities in addition to main attack, and all have their place. Hero switching is also a big part of every match, you need to learn counters to heroes and try to change your team to best counter the enemy. There's no progression or customization in terms of gameplay, which might be a problem for some in terms of longevity, but I never found myself wanting that because of the large character roster. 23 heroes provides a lot of content for you to learn. Blizzard has also given a lot of attention to information displayed to you during matches. Enemies are marked with a clear red outline, hitboxes are very precise to the shape of the character which is great, you always know if you're being healed or shielded and by who, where your teammates are, are they in low health, where the fights are happening etc. And best of all the sound effects are fantastic. Especially when using headphones you can easily locate where enemies are coming from, and who is coming. You start to recognize a lot of the sounds when playing and learning how to use those sounds to your advantage. Reapers boots and his teleport, Roadhog stomping around, Symmetra's teleporter, Tracer zipping around, everything has their own distinct sound and they clearly have put a lot of effort into making every one of them be unique and recognizable. Overwatch is just fun, fun and fun. You might have bad time if you start to take this too seriously as it relies so heavily on your team, but as someone who just wants couple matches of fun everyday, Overwatch is fantastic

magnificent

Overwatch is one of the best multiplayer action games that have passed through our hands. For the intensity of their shootings, for the masterful design of their protagonists and above all, for their admirable ability to surprise you over and over again. Each battle is unique, each fight is pure spectacle, and in all of them there is a constant that never disappears: you have fun as few video games are capable of doing.
