Game description

"It's downright gorgeous and a total blast to play alone or with friends. A truly realized vision at the top of its genre, Rayman Origins is an extravaganza with plenty of action to keep it fresh from start to finish and beyond." - IGN.com

"Rayman Origins is a wonderful 2D platformer whose goofy charm will have you smiling all the way through." - Gamespot.com

The Glade of Dreams is up in arms again!

This idyllic world, where there is usually little more to do than eat, sleep, play (and enjoy a friendly fray or two among friends), is up to its eyeballs in trouble.

It seems Rayman and his heroic gang of hilarious misfits has kicked off a war with just a little snoring! Their nightmarish neighbors from the Land of the Livid Dead don’t seem to share the same taste in music and have come to crash the party!

Never ones to shy away from a challenge, Rayman and his friends are more than happy to knock these nasty killjoys back to oblivion, especially since it involves saving nymphs, making mischief, and earning fantastic new powers to make even more mischief. And this won’t be the first time! As it turns out, the funloving Creator of the Glade, known as Bubble Dreamer, is a highly sensitive being whose every mood impacts the Glade for good or bad¦ Rayman has had to beat back the creatures of Bubble Dreamer’s nightmares before, and that’s what he, Globox, and the crafty Teensy casters are going to do again before the fabric of the Glade falls to pieces and their entire world fades like a bad dream.

If you like Mario games on Nintendo, you'll love this

You are gathering "golden fly" thingy in this game, and you also can glide, swim, etc. Some levels - especially near the end - are having insanely crazy difficulties. But these levels are rewarding once you have mastered it and get full electoons. Its great that the dev decided to go back to 2d platformer, since its what rayman is all about. Fun levels, and great level design, i must say that this game is great

Nearly as good as a Super Mario Game

Rayman has always been a strange franchise. It started as a 2D platformer for the Jaguar and got really famous when it was released on the Playstation. Then, Rayman 2 came out and it was in 3D. Then Rayman 3 took a totally different approach than its predecessor. And today there is Rayman Origins. It's a 2D platformer game with wacky humor and gorgeous visuals and soundtrack. The gameplay is nicely done. It's even a lot better than in the original Rayman. And while there is no "Life system" per se, the game is still quite challenging (Oh that last level...). It might be a shocking thing to say but I think that Rayman Origins is the western platformer that got the closest to the Super Mario Bros games' level of quality.

Very Creative Platforming Game For PC

When you play Origins first thing you noticed is games art design which is very striking and pleasing to eyes. Rayman origins combines platforming element from other platformer games with very basic controls.Even power-ups are so basic when compare to other games.Things flow in a very enjoyable way and there is lost of levels and collectables to make you replay the previous levels.Game also has local co-op which is very enjoyable with your up to 3 friends. The is no online multiplayer where you race against other player unfortunately.Rayman Origins is one of the best plaftormer game of this generation.

Must have.

This game is a total must have for the Rayman and platformer fans. The music is catchy, the graphic is cute and it perfectly fits the drawn world of Rayman. I used to play Rayman games as a kid and 'Rayman Origins' is a nostalgic journey to the past. The co-op mode makes it even better, so don't hesitate, because fun awaits you!

Back to the past

Rayman Origins is very good return to series roots. After some romance with 3D graphics we are back to good old 2D challenging platforming. And while first Rayman was, with some exceptions, rather slow one, Origins is fast paced, especially when chasing the cage. Completing the levels aren't that hard, but doing this with the best score is a challange, even for veteran gamers. And there is a great co-op where every player control different character (but it is possible to change who you control even in single player, so you are not stuck with Rayman himself). All platform fans - buy it. All Rayman fans probably already did.
