Reviews for Reset 1-1

Meant to appeal to nostalgia

Reset 1-1 is an 8-bit style action platformer. In addition to platforming you will be able to switch between different weapons and roll to fight against enemies, your attack will show you how much damage they do and when you level up you can raise different stats. You have an energy bar with different attacks taking up different amount of energy, the bar will quickly refill but will make it so you can't just keep doing the same attack over and over. While the graphics are used to give the game an old school art style there are problems with them such as making it difficult to tell if you can land on or interact with certain things or not. There is also some slowdown at different points of the game. The game has some decent music that fits with the graphics style of the game. For the low price it is difficult to say to avoid it if it looks like it would interest you but most of the game just feels mediocre and built to appeal to nostalgia. Some enemies are poor, the graphics are meant to look old school but just aren't interesting when even games from those times could have some impressive artwork, and the combat isn't that satisfying.
