Blending action and survival horror, Resident Evil 6 is a dramatic horror experience that cannot be forgotten. Now in high definition, the game offers multiple characters, including fan favorites and new faces, along with solo and co-op modes and new challenges for players, different from any other in the Resident Evil franchise. This edition includes all DLC, along with two costumes per main character, originally exclusively unlockable through Residentevil.net, that are now unlockable through the game itself.
Starting with three distinct, yet interwoven story threads, each with their own pair of protagonists for either solo or co-op play, both offline and online, not only will Resident Evil 6 deliver both different perspectives and gameplay styles but, with the introduction of the innovative Crossover mechanic players will be able to team up and share the horror. At key moments during the game, up to four players can join together online to tackle a specific situation, with some stages seeing the usual partnerships swapped to further increase the depth of gameplay.
Once players have completed the initial three campaigns they will unlock an all new campaign featuring Resident Evil’s very own femme fatale, Ada Wong. A single player experience, Ada’s campaign features unique missions, gameplay and weapons which will provide answers to the unanswered questions from the first three campaigns.

Resident Evil 6 tries to combine the features of Resident Evil 2, 3, and 5 into one game by offering four different campaigns with a different focus. Three of the four campaigns use the co-op gameplay of Resident Evil 5. One campaign has Leon and a new character fighting zombies with a few sections that are a homage to Resident Evil 2, these levels try to have the atmosphere and enemies of older titles but ends up failing at doing both. Leon is no longer as amusing as he is in RE4 and the changes to the controls such as being able to dive on the ground and shoot and duel wield pistols removes past tension of fighting zombies. Chris has a campaign with another new character that ends up being the worst one in the game, this one purely feels like a bad third person shooter that has you fighting gun armed enemies. The final main campaign has Sherry returning with Wesker's son as her partner, their campaign features more of a mixture of enemy types and a large unkillable creature stalking them in a similar way to Resident Evil 3, this is probably the best of the three campaigns overall though Leon's probably has the most good moments while primarily being mediocre. The final campaign is shorter and features Ada, this has a slightly more stealth focus and has moments with her interacting with characters in their campaigns. There are some ok moments and you will likely get some fun out of the game when playing co-op but this doesn't compare well to the other titles when it comes to gameplay, atmosphere, or writing (good writing, funny B movie style writing, and the comically bad writing).
