Rise: Battle Lines is a quick and accessible multiplayer-focused battle game that delivers meaty strategy in a bite-size format! Draft an army and fight a battle all in 15 thrilling minutes. Opponents issue orders at the same time in this unique system of simultaneous turn-based tactics. The rules are simple but the strategies require the brains, bravery and sheer bravado of a general, destined to Rise!
Simultaneous Turn-Based Combat - Both players take their turns at the same time, issuing an order to each of their units. Orders play out simultaneously so try to predict your opponent's next move, conceal your true intentions and expect the unexpected!
Draft Your Own Army - Opponents start by placing units into their army from a randomized selection of the 6 different unit types making every battle different. Each unit you pick is one your opponent cannot use, so choose wisely!
Different Game Modes - Get matched with a similarly skilled stranger or challenge a friend; play offline against our AI or in local multiplayer using our pass and play mode.
Customize Your Coat of Arms - Fight battles to earn Glory, which unlocks new titles and designs for your heraldry.
Stats & Leaderboards - Stats are tracked so you can analyze your play and your Glory is listed in global and friends-only leaderboards.
Original Soundtrack - Dynamic score of soaring fantasy refrains, thumping war songs and wistful melodies from acclaimed composer Murugan Thiruchelvam.

You've most likely played a bunch of similar games, but this one does things a little differently with both players making their moves simultaneously and watching it play out instead of alternating back and force. The character 'drafting' is pretty neat, with pretty good replay value because of it. You and your opponent pick from a single pool of possible units for your team, sort of a 'schoolyard-pick'. The game feels a little 'small' (see: most likely developed for casual mobile players), but if you're looking for a side game to kill some time, this is a pretty good choice. Note that there is basically no single-player at all, so don't expect a fleshed out campaign. Games last about 15 minutes (once you actually find an opponent). Check it out if you're into turn-based strategy and it's on sale.
A strategy game that combines real time and turn based gameplay. Every battle starts with you being assigned a certain number of the five different units in the game, which you and your opponent then take turns placing on your sides of the battlefield, before you are each allowed to place your General. The random units insure that battles will be different and that you can not rely on one kind of strategy. Units include mounted knights, swordsmen, axemen, crossbowmen, and longbowmen. Both players give their units orders and the moves are taken at the same time. Winning battles allows you to customize the heraldry of your army. Fun and low cost strategy game with quick battles, thought it does feel more suited to mobile gamers who just want to play a quick match while on the move.
