“I highly, highly recommend Rogue State to all fans of Civ and anyone looking for a real challenge.” - Haogamers
You led the revolution that freed the People's Republic of Basenji from the shackles of a corrupt monarchy. But now the new regime will be tested. You are the Glorious Leader who must hold onto power by maintaining the delicate balance between the interests of fundamentalists, capitalists, patriots, and liberals. However be aware, your brother, Farouk, consolidates power and influence with the intention to overthrow you! How will you manage affairs with your neighboring countries while ensuring you don't attract too much negative attention from the Americans? Will you be a generous donor to the United Nations? Or an international pariah building nuclear weapons in secret? The choice is yours in Rogue State.
A world of possibilities! Over thirty possible state purchases, six clandestine projects, eight potential neighbors and hundreds of randomly generated events. No two games will ever be the same and the approaches you take in one game may not necessarily be successful in another.
Manage complex relationships that are more nuanced than war and peace. Forging unlikely alliances may just keep Basenji from the kinds of wars your leadership can't survive. Other leaders have distinct personalities that may inform your tactics.
Choose cabinet leaders to help manage your country. Maintain their favor by accomplishing relevant objectives.
Forge alliances, develop tourism, promote trade. Invade countries, assassinate your rivals, nuke the planet.
Beautiful comic imagery inspired by French comic artist Jean "Moebius" Giraud.
Thousands of lines of spoken dialogue, and the ability to play as either a male or female Head of State.
Be the dictator you need to be. Tackle problems with the level of freedom or oppression you desire.

Similar to Floor 13 and Cover Action. Rogue State is surprisingly addictive and punishingly hard. No two playthroughs will be the same (for a while at least); the game throws up plenty of different (and often funny) variables, and offers a wide range of ways to play (you can be a despot, a benevolent socialist, a fundamentalist radical, a conniving capitalist, or anything in between). I would definitely recommend Rogue State if you think you'll enjoy these types of games. Once you've played a bunch of times, however, you sort of 'figure it out' and can easily win. If you can catch it on sale, check it out, otherwise, it gets a little repetitive and stale for the price.
Rogue State is a strategy game where you're put in the shoes of a country leader in the Middle East , you need to please your people and strike a critical balance between all the groups in your country ,develop good relations with neighboring countries and attract less attention from the other powerful countries in the world , the gameplay revolves around managing and choosing you priorities , should you donate a huge amount of money to UN or focus on building your country with the same amount , it's about balancing interior and exterior relations ,focus too much on the inside and you make enemies and rivals on the inside, focus too much on the outside and you have riots and protests on your hands. You can hire diplomats to do the dirty work for you and fortify your army to increase the controlling grip on your country because people will want to over through you, gameplay starts you fun but gets boring after a while , the game needs more depth to make you at least interested for more than 6 hours of gameplay which is not present here, graphics are mixed 3D and 2D with comic book style and soundtracks are decent enough , it is an interesting idea but needs more to keep you hooked longer.
