Game description

Royal Bounty HD was crafted for the lovers of old adventure RPGs like King’s Bounty (1990). You are an adventurer named Jim, just out of the island prison. How you ended up like this is unknown. You have no gold and no army. Angry Cell Guard is chasing your heels. What a difficult situation! Your first quest is get away from the maze and find a ship. But it is just a beginning of the story. Your road lies across four huge continents, inhabited by a variety of monsters. You are going to visit a desert, frozen lands, go through woods and towns, and in the finale meet your old friend, The Master. En route you’ll have to earn money and gather an army to face him fully equipped. Nevertheless, you will still need a helping hand from Dragons.

A CLASSIC Strategic RPG

Royal Bounty HD is a 2D strategy game a remastered version off the original Royal Bounty, you start off in a big prison and you're on horse back ,you recruit some prisoners after you free them and then leave the prison by a boat , that's where the game opens up to you, you travel to different parts of your games world and do free exploration , pick up weapons and items and recruit more units, so it has light RPG elements, the area's you haven't explored will stay dark until you explore them, and you can discover secrets and unlock new quests . combat wise which is where the strategy element is, it's a turn based combat and you need to manage your attacks and take out you're opponent's troops strategically , each unit has a number of action points and some units has range attack's whilst others have close quarters attacks, ranged attacks are important because they help you lower health of enemies before they get to your marching troops, you just need to recruit as much peasants as possible. the graphics are somewhat decent and nice, lot's of colors and various environments , the soundtrack is nice and fits the theme of the game , it can't be slow at times but it has its moments and it's very rewarding . it's a classic that's well worth your money.
