Game description

Serious Sam 3: BFE is a first-person action shooter, a glorious throwback to the golden age of first-person shooters where men were men, cover was for amateurs and pulling the trigger made things go boom.

Serving as a prequel to the original indie and Game of the Year sensation, Serious Sam: The First Encounter, Serious Sam 3 takes place during the Earth’s final struggle against Mental’s invading legions of beasts and mercenaries.

Key Features:

  • Frantic Arcade-Style Action – Hold down the trigger and lay waste to a never-ending onslaught of attackers or face being overrun by Mental’s savage beasts. No cover systems, no camping – it’s just you against them. All of them!

  • Fearsome Enemy Creatures – A new battalion of unforgettable minions including the rumbling Scrapjack and towering Khnum join the legendary Headless Kamikaze, Gnaar and Sirian Werebull to create the fiercest opposition you’ve ever had the pleasure of mowing down!

  • Spectacular Environments – Battle across the expansive battlefields of near-future Egypt bursting at the seams with total chaos. The shattered cities of tomorrow lined with the crumbling temples of an ancient world become your destructible playground!

  • Destructive Arsenal – Unleash Serious Sam’s arsenal of weapons including a scoped assault rifle, the double-barreled shotgun, the explosive automatic shotgun, the punishing minigun, and the almighty barrage of flaming cannonballs! Carry all of Sam’s weapons at once and switch between each gun on the fly for maximum firepower!

  • Brutal Melee Attacks – When the going get’s tough, the tough take matters into their own hands! Rip out the eye of a closing Gnaar, twist off the face of the hideous Scrapjack or snap the neck of an Arachnoid Hatchling for an instant kill!

  • Co-Op Multiplayer – Go to war against Mental’s horde with up to 16 players online and annihilate everything that moves across 12 single-player levels of mayhem in Standard Co-Op, Classic Co-Op, Coin-Op Co-Op, Beast Hunt and Team Beast Hunt mode.

A Nostalgic Experience!

Serious Sam 3: BFE was successful like its predecessors in providing harsh, quick and exciting campaigns. As always, there are a lot of different enemies who really seems to hate you and fight against you, and you'll be torn them apart by the powerful weapons at your disposal! Fortunately, the game in the design of the enemies remains loyal to the first two games and there's no news of ridiculous SS2 creatures, fast skeletons throwing chains, eye-catching trolls, rough and fast birds, and rocket launcher scorpions! but of course, the creepy stupid creatures have returned to the Serious Sam 3: BFE to make it as a highly nostalgic title.

Beloved arcade shooter game goes modern

Serious Sam 3: BFE is the third installment of the Serious Sam franchise, and Croteam did something different with this game. Serious Sam was always a arcade shooter with a unique sense of humour and art style that was absolutely awesome and fun. With SS3: BFE, they took aways the arcade shooter mechanic and implemented a modern shooter mechanic (Similar to Call of Duty), which is surprisingly good with a game like Serious Sam, combine that gameplay with the randomness of Serious Sam and a horde of endless enemies coming at you. It's pretty fun! Recommended!

It is a great game, but not great Serious Sam game

Graphics are great but I think the first two Serious Sam (FE and SE) had better and more enjoyable gameplay, bigger rooms, more adventure-like with traps and I don't see that in Serious Sam 3. If any of your friends own the game you can play co-op with them which is really fun, just skip the first level if you can. There are many maps you can get stuck, the first map being the most confusing of them all. Just at the end of the game it barely gets on the level of a good Serious Sam with the crazy enemy spawning and items all over the place. The best level for me was the underground one where you need to follow the exit arrows, mostly because it was the least confusing. Also the survival mode is perfect!

When old-school games meets modern gamers.

When you play games like these you expect them to bring something with them to help you go through its journey. Serious Sam has something that helped it a lot , and that is the humor that Sam has , whenever he gets in conversation with other people or with himself , he always finds a way to make you laugh ,it's something that keeps you going to see or hear what serious "funny" Sam has to say , I talked a lot about this thing , didn't I ?..,anyways apart from that the gameplay itself is very enjoyable , okay sometimes it gets repetitive but , in my opinion gamers needs game like these from time to time , maybe because it's sort of "dying" genre , but games should be more open and have different ideas , and not to be strict in same and well known ideas , first person shooter games aren't always Call of Duty and Battlefield type and I am not starting a war by that, both of the mentioned games are great , but what I am talking about is variety .. Even the experience would be more interesting, exciting and less predictable. Overall Serious Sam is a great game and experience, don't let some graphical glitches keeps you from this game.

Good game but not for everyone

Classic carnage. Nothing more, nothing less. Graphics aren't the greatest but the guns and the enemies are worth fragging. The developers did a good job blending the retro fps feel with some modern mechanics. However, it's certainly not for everyone. The game gets repetitive from time to time and if you don't have a friend to play with, then you're gonna have to deal with it. Overall, if you're unsure whether you'll like it or not, I say give it a try.
