This game is hard, uninspired, and actually dangerous to the type of people, who want to get a 100% achievement in all of their games. Now,m the game isn't broken or anything. This is a simple avoid the things being thrown at you kinda game, where you actually have to collect things as well. You also have 3 power ups, to help you, that you have to use to get most of the points. Nothing more, nothing less. I recommend this for two things: -It's cheap. -It has trading cards But, on the other hand, if you install this, beware. This game only has like a dozen achievements, so you might think, this will be a piece of cake, and you will get another perfect game on your scoreboard in no time. Well, guess again. The main boss is so tough, that i still didn't beat it after months. Without him, the game would be 2 hours long. 2 Hours, and 5 minutes, if you did it right the first time, but after 600 attempts, I doubt many people will manage that...
ShipLord is something that looks like another cliche game, but can actually be more fun than most in the genre. The story is good but simple, and the graphics are okay. The framerate is stable. The gameplay consists of dodging obstacles, without the ability to shoot. There is three different powers you can use which are fun to use. It is very fast-paced and challenging. The controls are sometimes a little unresponsive. The game is very simple, but provides good challenges. It is a good time waster that is worth the price, but it is average at it's best, due to the fact of how simple the game is.
ShipLord may look like a typical horizontal shoot em up game and it does play like that, only without the ability to shoot. Instead of destroying waves of enemies you will be dodging asteroids and bosses with the help of three abilities that will go on cooldown after using them. A shield allows you to temporarily destroying incoming asteroids by running into them, an energy collector helps you collect the resources that you are trying to pick up, and a force field pushes asteroids away from you and slows down time. The games boss battles change things up by introducing enemy ships that fire projectiles at you like you would see in a bullet hell shooter, the change is nice but your ship makes it difficult to perform the precise movements necessary to avoid the shots, an update was released just a few days ago that allows you to slow the speed of your ship by holding a button, this is a great addition that makes the bosses more manageable. You are able to get new ships but they are really just color cosmetic changes and you can get some upgrades, with the most useful ones being ones that reduce ability cooldowns. The backgrounds are nice with rotating planets that can have moons orbiting them, though the art of the ships and asteroids are uninteresting. The game is simple and may be priced a little high for what it is but it is enjoyable.
