I actually grew up with this game series known as Spy Fox. I truly enjoyed it and would even go back and play it again once or twice. It's a great kid-friendly game with action scenes and mysteries to be solved that will make you think. You get to use cool gadgets and can be considered a child-friendly James Bond kind of game. Also, a fun addition is that all the characters are animals of some kind, which can become quite amusing when their name is a play on the type of animal they are. In this pack, you will get to play the entire Spy Fox series facing plenty of evil villains and as Spy Fox you must stop the them from achieving world domination with help from your fellow agents! This game is the second game in the series of Spy Fox games that have funny and playful cut-scenes and includes a play on real life people by making animals represent these real life characters. I highly recommend this game if you are looking for a short, kid-friendly, not very violent, playful game for your child. It is well worth purchasing.
This is one of the first series of point and clicks I got into when I was a kid and I still have all of the disks so I can pass the game down to my kids when the time comes they can either pick up a controller or use a mouse. The art is cartoonish with a 90's feel, the characters are incredibly likable and can be remembered fondly. The villains are a little silly in terms of what they want out of the world in their plots, but they're still enjoyable to watch. There isn't a lot of violence in the Spy Fox series, or at least not enough violence to cause your kids to go full warrior on your home and the puzzles are simple enough to solve while a few others are a little complex that require some thinking before executing. The point and click games, Dry Cereal, Some Assembly Required and Operation Ozone randomly change objectives each play through, like a lot of the Humongous Entertainment Games. The arcade games in this series are a lot of fun as well, though somewhat difficult, even for the intended age of the audience who plan to play them. If I had to point out any real issues with the series that it suffers from is that after 1 or 4 play troughs, all of the game's preset adventures have been thoroughly explored to the point where you can be them with your eyes closed, when this happens, the games can be beaten with 15-30 minutes, no matter what the new adventure is. All Humongous Entertainment adventure games suffered this flaw making these titles lack any LASTING replay value in the long run. Still, I give this series 100 out of 100 because it was a series I remembered fondly and grew up out of my childhood years and into by pre-teen years on. It was also the only series to be overlooked while Humongous Entertainment was so dead focused on the next Freddie Fish or Pajama Sam.
Great pack of 5 classic point and click games that can be enjoyed by both kids and adults nowadays without any problem. Main character is likeable fox, animated just like in 80s-90s cartoons, having various adventures. Story plots are not too complicated, but are full of humour and will be greatly enjoyed by children. Puzzles are not crazy complex but still can give a little bit of challenge and will teach kids logic and patience. all characters are fully voiced and likeable. There is no violence so game can be played by kids of any age. Just keep in mind that as there's a lot to listen too to know what to do - if your kid doesn't understand English/French/German it will be very problematic to play this game. So all in all - great games for children, but only children fluent in mentioned languages.
This collection is a great introduction for younger kids to the world of point and click adventure games. All games are really good quality, they star a likeable cartoony characters and crazy adventures that could be taken directly from any kid show. The puzzles are not too hard so they don't frustrate your children, but still require a little bit of thinking and problem solving so are very stimulative. These are great choices to either have your kid play by himself or play it together and bond.
