More of an "immersion pack" or simply "DLC" than an expansion. Main feature of SD is that it allows you to play as Artificial intelligence, but there are some drawbacks. For example - there are no robot-themed ships, no robot-themed cities and so on. Since they are the most important thing of this DLC, the robots got new things coming with them - new trait and technology alterations + the similar use of hive mind-like mechanics. Some differences are that you don't produce food.. since machines don't eat food. Instead you need minerals to create more pops. Another cool thing is that leaders don't die from old age, but they cost more. So it feels like a normal game playing as AI - but all these small details and changes feel like it is indeed something different in the end. As always, pick it up on a sale.

Build a robotic empire

I think Synthetic Dawn Story Pack adds more contents to the main game when we compare it with Utopia dlc. In fact, in this new dlc you can build a empire in kind of robotic and machine mechanism which is very exciting, also, it adds a good story, some improvements and so on to the main game. Synthetic Dawn Story Pack is actually an amazing dlc which is highly recommended.

New robotic empire awaits.

I have really looked forward to this DLC but there is something that bothers me very much. The robots do not have any ship types or their own which does not make too much sense. I find that really bad since Planetoids DLC had their own skins. Apart from that is is a solid DLC with new robotic empire, absolutely worth buying.

Stellaris: Synthetic Dawn is a story pack for Stellaris and it's exactly what i've been waiting for and thanks to the devs who heard our voices and brought this fantastic DLC for the game. honestly compared to other dlcs which has been released so far for the game this one offers much more stuff that any of them with its price tag. If you own Stellaris and want to establish you interstellar empire with much more contents this pack is made for you and is exactly what you could have wished for! thank you Paradox for this amazing DLC!
