Chose your own adventure!

I only recently discovered Steve Jackson, on paper form, but it got me from the get go! originally i bought his book, so i can pass the time at work, yet in more than one occasion it made me actually overwork,m because i just had to finish the story. This game is like an adventure textbook, in fact, it't exactly that. The only difference is that the combat system is more challenging, and more fair then the dice system in the book. Even though it works like a book, so the paths are somewhat limited, this game is really good at making you feel like your choices matter, and that you're a big damn hero. The save system is a little weird. You actually have to play a whole chapter at the same time in order for it to work. It's not that big of a problem, but the game doesn't really warn you about that. Anyway, a chapter roughly takes 2 hours to complete, 3 if you're a slow reader, so it's not a big deal. The game is short, but it is replayable. In fact, it is recommended. The ability, to turn back time is also appreciated. In the books you did that by turning a few pages back (ie: cheating) but here, it is a lot smoother. Anyway, this is a fun adventure game, that i can wholeheartedly recommend for anyone.

Excellent four part series

Steve Jackson's Sorcery is a series of four games based on old choose your own adventure books. Each of the four games features excellent writing and a many different ways to proceed or interact with different events. There is a very impressive magic system that can allow you to handle situations in sometimes very unexpected ways. Each of the games changes up the formula of the previous title and allows you to continue with the character that you completely the previous part of the story with. With these games Inkle continues to develop and publish some of the best written and repayable titles available and they are well worth the price.

To all rpg fans

Sorcery! it is the game created in 80e years by Steve Jackson. It prepared the book "choose your own adventure" where decisions are very important, stamps of the fantasy-rpg destroy, and the player gets the real hardcore expirience and the most fascinating history. Authors of the virtual embodiment of a game from inkle studio could transfer all this. For the first time I got acquainted with this game on iOS and among the big number of unpretentious mobile games it was the real pearl. Greedily passed the first part, and then the others. It was awesome! I didn't happen to test the third part. I hope a vsor will let out the fourth, both on mobile platforms, and on PC. In total actually there are four parts, as well as the books published in 80e years. It is rather unusual and original, often breaking templates to which modern players got used. * It is necessary to apply magic? Learn the book with spells. No, seriously, learn! * You want to fight well? Analyze the text at the attacks of the opponent and draw conclusions. Everyone has its own attacking style, the weaknesses and the strengths. But prepare for the real hardcore... and sometimes to random. * You want to be treated? Well. Restore two-three points of health and right there spend them for the unpretentious enemy. * Solve really difficult and very elegant riddles impregnated with spirit of a fantasy. And, well and still something - though a game was also made virtual, it all the same remains the book. Yes. You should read mnooy. But it isn't bad, right? And here minus follows - a game doesn't support Russian. English in it not too difficult, but nevertheless in the dictionary periodically it is necessary to glance. But the text, language to which a game is written - it is remarkable, simply excellent. What else to tell about this game? Before the beginning you can choose a sex of the character. Don't worry, it will affect a plot. Still you should remember one important thing - trust with care, danger is everywhere. Should you buy it? Definitely yes! In general I am excited about a game and is ready to recommend it to all fans of a rpg-genre, books of this sort and just to those who want something really new.
