I have hundreds of hours in and still lots of room to improve, amazing replay value. The online ranking system works since you play people on your level and need to find ways to get better to move up, or else you get stuck in a certain rank. I have gotten up to ultra gold and bounce around in the gold rank, so I need to find a way to improve to move to platinum. The game is well supported by Capcom and always has lots of people to play VS online. The offline story mode looks fantastic as do all the characters. Beautiful game overall.
The release was underwhelming to say the least, but its coming along nicely now. Would rather they postponed it 6 months, but what we have now is pretty good. The action feels great, the netcode feels okay when playing against opponents on my continent, and the character allotment and DLC packages are entirely reasonable. I'm going to invest some serious time into this title.
In what matters Street Fighter V is a splendid videogame, but it will not live up to all the users of the franchise. It's simple: Looking for content for a player? It's not your game. May wait until next June is a solution, but it does not seem to be the optimal option in the market if your interest does not happen to compete. Do you want to compete? It is a new beginning for all the fighters of the world, and Capcom has focused all its effort on turning it into an eSport that is capable of surpassing everything seen in the genre of the fight in recent years. In his hand is to achieve it: the commitment seems total, but may not be enough for all fans of the franchise.
I like that they stopped making different versions and just made one base game and will add content at their leisure. There are ups and downs to this concept but I am not one to really get upset if the product does as intended. It runs and looks amazing. I am not really a fan of how they changed a lot but this is the future of SF and I got to say you have to get use to it. I was really not gonna buy this but I saw it on sale and said why not with the Season Pass included. Now I just wait and will purchase added content in the future. Don't be mad at Capcom they are a business and keep that in mind and they have to make money because in the Game industry it is just hard to survive and not flop so if you like the product stop complaining and buy if you want and if not then don't but I support companies that need funding support and will pay because I like their product. Thank you Capcom for being strong through the years and I will keep my active support unlike that fiasco with Netherealm Studios. They have lost my trust and they can just disappear for all I care. But you all stay on track and I like it and I don't mind paying extra if I enjoy the games you publish and produce.
