Throughout the Early Access process we’ll be listening to everyone’s feedback and incorporating that into our roadmap. Here is the current crop of things we will be focusing on during the development period ahead.
The Other 99 is yet another action survival game that has launched in early access, will it do anything to stand out and better itself from the crowd of other recent titles in the genre? The focus of the game is somewhat like Battle Royal where you are forced into an environment and will end up fighting other people who share the same fate in order to survive, similar to another recent multiplayer title The Culling, but this is a single player game with permadeath. You have to manage your hunger and thirst along with your health. Graphics are better than many of these titles, there are better character models and noticeable damage on their models if you get into a fight with them. The 98 other characters can also end up fighting and killing each other without you getting involved and you have a little wrist device that shows you how many people are left. The game released in a very poor state with problems with combat and performance, these were improved as bit over time but the game is still in an early state. It might turn out to be decent but with the current state and for the price it is difficult to recommend, even when compared to similar titles.
