About This Game

Garrett, the Master Thief, steps out of the shadows into the City. In this treacherous place, where the Baron’s Watch spreads a rising tide of fear and oppression, his skills are the only things he can trust. Even the most cautious citizens and their best-guarded possessions are not safe from his reach.

As an uprising emerges, Garrett finds himself entangled in growing layers of conflict. Lead by Orion, the voice of the people, the tyrannized citizens will do everything they can to claim back the City from the Baron’s grasp. The revolution is inevitable. If Garrett doesn’t get involved, the streets will run red with blood and the City will tear itself apart.

Garrett never paid the price for anything… until now.

Not what I expected.

The game is weak, although I waited for a few months and bought it pre-release, I played it in installments because I was not able to take a long time in one sitting with this game. The story is boring, the missions after maybe two are not entertaining at all. Most of the elements such as magic, undead, machines (in the sense of camera and robots) were taken out of the game. Older parts were better.

A low quality version of Dishonored

Uninteresting world, story, and characters. Poor enemy AI. No incentive to play the game stealthy. Lock picking has to be done frequently and gets annoying fast, you often gain only one cheap item for your efforts. Money is used for upgrades and buying equipment, but the upgrades and powers are mostly pretty useless. City hub area is confusing and annoying to navigate and wastes your time forcing you to go back to a bar to resupply while avoiding the same enemy patrols. The ability to replay chapters, so you can use your better equipment or try different routes and challenges, is almost hidden. Replaying a level forces you to walk back to where the chapter started in the city to replay the mission, the map doesn't show where those spots are and the game gives no indication that you can even do it. The Master Thief Edition extras are also just not worth the added price.

Bad but not so bad

Honestly, the game could have been very good but nothing special, I do not say it's horrible, you can play it but it leaves a lot to be desired, I've spent it and I'll never play it again. The main story of the game is horrible, I expected a game about robberies to banks etc and I have found a science fiction story worthy of File X that almost better nor commented ... As far as the secondary missions are very poor and repetitive , Do not tell anything about the plot and better or do them, are a waste of time. The graphics are very good but I expected a much more open world with much more freedom of movement in the city (as in the Assassins Creed for example, where you can go a thousand different paths to the same place) in Thief is not the case. In conclusion I put a 5 naked. If you are interested in this genre and you find the game very low, you may want to buy it, but I warn you that it is a fairly mediocre game, and that probably after passing the main plot you will never play it again.

Thief liked it a lot

Thief I really liked it. He fails many things, but he succeeds in many others. The sigil seems to me very funny, playing with the lighting and the environment are very lively and are very fun. Being able to play by making "knockouts" adds an entertaining point, not to force you to pass all levels simply avoiding the routines, since you can get rid of some guard and make it easier and different. Graphically it is beautiful, the atmosphere steampunk plus the nuvia and the night are perfect, and much more with this theme. What has disappointed me most is the end, but not only the final chapter, but the last 5-10 minutes.
