"Three Dead Zed is a great first release from Gentleman Squid Studio, and we really wouldn't mind seeing a sequel. A fresh take on a tired genre." - Gamezebo.com
Three Dead Zed is an action/puzzle-platformer in which you take control of an experimental zombie that can transform into three unique and distinct forms. With quick reflexes, a little problem solving, and some rescued kittens, players make a violent exit that won't be forgotten by their captors. This is a zombie game that brings out your inner child, then chews on its brain.

Cats In tinfoil hats
I got it for free, but I know its available in the mystery packs so its definitely worth the 49 cents in my opinion. It's a good couple hours of entertainment with enjoyable commentary every so often. I think its just long enough that you're not bored of it when it ends. I don't think its worth the default price though.
I'll be honest, I didn't have very high expectations for this game in the least. All of the free or mystery games I've gotten from GMG haven't exactly been the best games. I opened most of them and played them for maybe five minutes a piece. I've only played this one for about a half hour, but it is surprisingly entertaining. I would have purchased this one for sure.
Take control of a zombie with the ability to change between three forms as he attempts to escape a research facility while being asked to rescue tinfoil hat wearing cats by a mysterious man. The normal zombie form has a small jump, a weak attack, and can be used to push buttons and climb ladder. A form that moves on four legs that is the fastest moving, can jump the furthest, and can wall jump but takes the most damage and can not attack. The final form is a large zombies with a powerful attack, and the ability to break through obstacles and lift large objects but with a weak jump and very slow speed. You will need to use these three forms correctly to survive saw blades, human and robot enemies, spikes, lasers, and traps that can smash you. Many of the stages have a hidden voiced log that you can listen to to hear more of the story. The story is amusing, as is the art style. The controls feel a bit off and the game ends up just not being that fun as it goes on though.
When it comes to zombies, everybody thinks about FPS games, or some survival horrors, or maybe adventure games. Zombie platformer? That's a good idea but not well made in this case. In Three Dead Zed you control 3 kind of zombies - each one can do something that the rest can't. So controling these 3 zombies you go and save some kitties. Sounds like fun and fresh idea, but sadly the game is boring. It doesn't have anything special that would catch my interest. Graphics looks normal, music is normal, just the idea of zombies that comes to rescue cats is kind of funny. At least before you tried to play this game. Also, it's quite easy and not so long game, so I wouldn't recommend it.
Three Dead Zed is a platformer in which you play as a zombie who went berserk and tries to escape a facility and save...cats. It comes with, I'd say, basic features of the genre - the challenging puzzles and the option to switch between forms / characters depending on what there is to be done. The soundtrack is ok and graphics are not bad, either ; overall feels like a decent game.
