Game description

This is an Early Access Game

This means the game is still in active development, and can change drastically throughout development. The Early Access program will not only allow the player to enjoy the fantastic gameplay experience, but will also allow the player to make a real difference in how the game progresses.

The team will continue to create new features throughout the process. Those who choose to purchase the game should expect missing content, bugs, incomplete content and, potentially, game breaking problems.

“I would play this game again one day when the full release comes about, and I do wish the developer the best of luck; he has put the effort to make this game unique, and while I may not be the numero uno fan I do know that there is a fan base that would enjoy this type of stealth thriller indie title. Get your cyberpunk hacking terror on the go and seek your vengeance!”

Vindictive Drive is a Thriller/Action game with cyberpunk elements and Real Time Action/Stealth mechanics following Arris Fern, a young woman in her cold blooded revenge against her father, the president of the most powerful nation, for the assassination of her mother 12 years ago.
Completely consumed by hatred and resentment, Arris will use the most cruel methods at her disposal to achieve her goal.

  • Vindictive Drive's "battle system" rely on outsmarting security systems, avoiding cameras, and fooling your enemies using your computer and jamming devices, leaving the pistol as last resort.
  • Stealth is an important part of the game, you will be able to disable alarms and create distractions.
  • Story rich scenarios and suspense.
  • Talkative and friendly NPCs.
  • A lot of illustrations and animations made frame per frame.
  • Arris' very sour behavior.
  • Multiple endings.

Interesting experience for an RPG Maker game

Vindictive Drive is an RPG Maker style game but with real time combat, items to deactivate sensors to get around fighting, and mech combat. None of it really works well and for some reason good or rebindable controls didn't seem to be worth adding for the developer but the story is somewhat interesting, short cutscenes and more visual novel style scenes give a better presentation than most games of this style, it was certainly different for these kind of games, and while some choices don't mean much others lead to different endings or story paths. The games own description of its combat system can barely be described as true and "Talkative and friendly NPCs" doesn't even make sense for what the game has but for the low price it was an alright story and interest way to make use of the engine.

RPG maker is not dead yet

Many people will tell you that RPG maker games are simplistic and all the same. While this is kind of true, because you can't really do much new here regarding the gameplay, since it is based on final fantasy engine. What makes this stand out however is the solid story so far and good old SNES Final Fantasy gameplay with some tweaks to it to fit to this game universe. While graphics/pictures are not impressive, it is still in early access and it's hard to tell how it will end up, so far it's pretty interesting and seems like it is worth telling, and for price as low as this, it is worth checking out.
