"The Gold Edition includes both War for the Overworld: Underlord Edition and the Heart of Gold expansion pack"
The Emperor is gone and the Empire rudderless, the balance of power easily swayed to any Underlord that is not 600 feet under. You will now assume the role of rival Underlord, Kasita, and with the mentorship of the deliciously sardonic Mendechaus (voiced by Richard Ridings), you will sate your thirst for wealth and power in the golden and volcanic dukedom of Phaestus.
The word in the Underworld is that Kasita’s heart is a giant gemstone, hewn from the dirt by her prospecting workers. They say molten gold flows through her cavernous, subterranean arteries, and that soon her temper shall erupt in an all-consuming gold rush of greed! Miserly miners beware ...
Heart of Gold, continues where the story left off, with 4 earth-shattering new Campaign levels, a smattering of new defences, units and spells, and a gleaming new Dungeon Theme!
Heart of Gold features:
In summary, this game is a labor of love from a devoted team trying to recreate Dungeon Keeper and if you are a fan of that old series and can afford to throw money in their direction. Do it. This may in the end be the only close successor the gaming world will see (at least in this decade). Just be aware that the game is heavily flawed and I'm not sure the dev team has the experience needed to ever make it as-good-as Dungeon Keeper really was, so we must either foster them in the hopes they improve or just play it for what it is and cry over what's missing. On a side note if you have not played the originals; find them. Get Dungeon Keeper and Dungeon Keeper 2, it's worth the effort. Despite the slightly ageing graphics they are still fantastic games. Then come play War for the Overworld with us and pray it continues to reach for the glory of what Dungeon Keeper once was.
